If any our players don't "put in" then of course.

Hence Stephenson dropped as his effort is utterly disgraceful (yet his best what we need hugely)
So I think that’s why TT gets the nod over KT

Turn it up.

You support Turner who couldn't pick up in a brothel.

Yet bag a young gun who broke his ribs for our footy club and is a massive talent.

Turner is irrelevant long term. Him bringing effort with inability is a short term problem.

Tarryn having attitude issues & not reaching his potential is a far bigger issue that needs to be addressed for the future of our footy club.

One has 9 games left the other hopefully a couple of hundred.

He became the 'main man' in 2017 though.

I'm not sure why so many on this board have such a hate boner for BBB when at the start of 2020 he was coming off 3x 60+ goal seasons in a pretty average/bad team... Why wouldn't you try and get the best possible deal for yourself at that point when the 2020 season hadn't happened yet?
His manager wanted an extra year and we wouldn't give it to him because we thought his knee was cooked, it had little to do with the $ amount as far as I'm aware.

I tell you what though he'd be pretty handy right now freeing up Larkey from being double teamed every week. Still managed 25 goals from 13 games last year too which is more than serviceable.
Bang on.

The way people, and the club to an extent allowed the perception, have framed it as him greed-walking when we pulled out of talks and told him to find a home, is ridiculous. His manager was not unreasonable in wanting to keep negotiating contract length. Circumstances changed and I'm glad in hindsight we didn't put him on 750 X 4, but the original ask of an extra year wasn't absurd and is well within the realms of a reasonable attempt at negotiation.

We then pulled all offers and told him to find a new home.

Haha keeping up the 100 percent ratio of defending every decision the coach makes. All power to you for being as predictable as a two sided coin.

And props to you for being able to frame everything he does in a positive light.

Going to be an enthralling moment when you break your duck and manage (despite every preprogrammed thought/opinion) to say something slightly critical about him.

One day. One day. One day. He will be responsible for something and not excused from the unprecedented level of ineptitude. One day.

I think it’s very ignorant to pin “the unprecedented level of ineptitude” on one person.

Noble absolutely has some blame, as do many others.

You’d prefer a witch hunt which pins it on individuals.

No. I think everyone at the club should be accountable and the performances this season have been significantly below the acceptable level and the club has gone backwards.

I don’t dislike or hate Noble. He seems ok and is just a football coach. Not a war mongering head of state.

My opinion about him is based on the style of football, lack of structure and the same mistakes being made but not addressed on a weekly basis.

I want the North Melbourne football club to be successful and thus whoever is the coach to be successful. Whether that’s Noble or not. I’m aligned to the club, not the coach.

My view is that there’s no avenue to future success with Noble as coach based on the tactical nous/adjustment/evidence on display thus far.

We’re shit. No one is denying that.

If only it was as easy as the coach being shit. That would be an easy fix.

Personally think Goldy is a better tall forward than Brown is currently.

And our injury list isn’t that bad.

Do you actually believe that?

We currently have 1/4 of our list confirmed injured, including a fair few that would 100% be playing or pushing for selection if they were available.

I’m not saying there is one single issue. For example the biggest issue at the club for about 20 years is the lack of attention when it comes to drafting and developing players with above average, reliable foot skills. This spans four coaches in a modern game in which the need to mix ball winning contested players with high class skilled mids and half backs with reliable foot skills has been absolutely shockingly lost on the club. The reason we remained competitive for so long (along with solid to good to very good key position players) was that our midfield inside players were excellent. And we had Harvey who is ridiculously underrated (non north fans) in regards to his absolutely elite work by foot.

In terms of Noble he’s not the only problem but we are entering uncharted territory in terms of results (in many parts we’re already there) and whole I think that with any coach (without Ben Cunnington) we are a bottom four side we are nowhere near as bad as what we have served up. I mentioned before and have specified on enough occasions but the same tactical and structural mistakes keep being made and the lack of accountability for senior players like Turner is very disappointing.

We are 12 games into the season. We might be nearing our worst point now in terms of the number and quality of those out but it hasn’t been that bad all season. And we have played many other teams contending with guys out.

Nonetheless I could cop that defence (to some degree) if the side was showing some level of structural and tactical improvement. But we’re not. Noble isn’t learning or righting obvious wrongs and that to me is a notable issue that is contributing to the manner and margins of the losses.

are you still trolling?
Your statement was judge Noble when we have no injuries. It’s a stupid statement in a contact, fast paced sport in which all clubs most weeks have multiple players on an injury list.

By your totally not flawed logic no coach could ever be judged. Therefore Wayne Schimelbusch (no idea how to spell it) would still be our coach and Graham Cornes would still be coaching the Crows.
