I get the feel he's been told next year is under no threat, it's whether he gets antsy about coaching with no promises beyond that imo.

It's important GWS come sniffing for this reason for a parting of ways, I think even Koch would realise we'd burn the place down if they extend him again.
I'm not confident Koch does think that.

I think he only sees the Facebook crowd

He doesnt look comfortable at games because he has no ******* idea what he is doing

In the Prelim when Adam Treloar dobbed his goal on the run, the camera cut to the box and Hinkley looked like he’d just been tapped on both shoulders by a ghost.

Whatever his remaining strengths are during the week and at breaks, he’s utterly clueless in-game when the situation is fluid.

Which probably goes a long way to explaining why we constantly get our pants pulled down in myriad ways in finals and other big/close games when the pressure is maximal and the lights at their brightest.

And Koch, two CEO’s, a score of Board members and a stack of fans have convinced themselves this is absolutely the guy, provided we only have the resolute patience to eternally back him.

Awful.

There's what - three players left from 2013? Gray will hang them up end of season. Boak visibly is slowing down. How many coaches in AFL history have gone through an entire list reset?

I don't think the list is as bad as some - just comes down to some astute recruitment over one or two off seasons and it still has potential.

The window closed on this regime the moment Hartlett got pinged for a deliberate behind 20 months ago. I can see it being a huge mental lift for a portion of the fanbase when the change comes. For the rest of them... well I guess they'll keep waiting for the exciting day their bay gets Fruchocs thrown at them.

5.

Jonas, Gray, Boak, Wines, Clurey

Jonas, Gray, Boak, Wines,

The club’s current captain and three most outstanding players of the era, who were all on the list before Hinkley’s first game:

“GuEsS YoU FoRgEt HoW tHiNgS WeRe WhEn He ArRiVeD”

OH LORT.

It's hard to refute the "Who are ya gonna get that's better?" argument.

In the entire history of humanity, change has never led to anything good.

I crave the stability of living in caves and fingerpainting bison on the walls. That fire shit is overrated.

There are some really clueless Port supporters out there. Just from the last couple of days. I said to one Ken needs to be sacked. Her response why? I just said he is the longest coach in history without a GF appearance and then changed the subject when she still didn't get it.

Today work colleague says are you going to the game? I said not until we have a new coach. He's like cmon mate that's not a good reason. I walked out and went home. I don't like talking footy with un educated footy supporters usually but it came up in conversation.

Plenty of them out there. I have had similar conversations, tried to use stats and facts to explain my position, until you get the 'why'. I push on, but when the blank look appears it's over. Kool aid sales aren't dropping off for a while at this rate.

Why would he quit unless he’s told he will be terminated. Until then it’s his right to keep coaching and most coaches would. When it comes even he would realise he had a fairer stint than all other coaches on record.

The board needs some balls

Port coach not dwelling on AFL ladder
Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley says it's futile to ponder an AFL ladder which shows his club's season slipping away.

Face Palm No GIF

Hinkley on our 15th ranked attack:
"There has also been a few reasons with the places we have played at so it's not just as simple as one thing."

Also Hinkley would likely say on our 5th ranked defence:
" We've got a really good leagues best defence and trust in our method of defending the ground"

Smoke and mirrors.
