That’s your response to all the points I just listed?
You bring up the obviously sarcastic one?

Nic Nat a sneaky chance? Only ever plays limited game time.
Sarcastic or not you are correct .. the output would still be the same…
Everyone in the thread wants to keep ‘backing the boys’,
Been known to kick bags of wheat over silos with broken ribs...or so the rural myth goes.Govs a tough khent, will probably play with broken ribs.
Out: nelson
In: kelly
It's a fine balance between the two perhaps?Building back a winning culture is more important than dropping 1 or 2 places down the draft order for mine. It goes to the standards the club sets itself internally. Application is just as important as talent, if not more so. That's my 2c at least.
Everyone in the thread wants to keep ‘backing the boys’, players who have been on the list 5+ years and who time and time again provide the same results.
Over half the year gone, 1 win and we are none the wiser in terms of even using this opportunity to see if some of these players can be played in other positions.
Nobody has said that
I'm am strongly in favour of:
-Naming a full team of 22 players plus sub/emergencies
-Fair/reasonable discussion rather than uninformed keyboard warrior crap
Nelson played forward in the first half on the weekend, before Gov got injured and we needed to swing him back. He’s also been used on a wing and in the middle at times.
Rotham played ruck in the WAFL.
Harry Edwards has been used as a ruck, that didn’t last long.
Jones has shifted into defence.
Yeo has shifted into defence.
Foley has been used on a wing.
Petch has been in the middle in the WAFL.
Apart from that, yeah we’re none the wiser.
I agree, Jones and Yeo have been successful moves.
The problem still lies with our midfield at the end of the day and the main spot we keep flogging the same dead horse unfortunately.
Would love to see Shuey playing Petch’s role with short stints in the middle and Clark spending more time at the coal face.
Gaff purely on a wing and West taking Gaff’s share of CBA’s.

I haven’t seen an updated version of this, but as of two games ago West had attended a lot more CBs than Gaff.
So Connor West attended nearly three times as many centre bounces as Gaff on the weekend, even though Gaff is taking centre bounces off West?View attachment 1428583

Rather than continually potting players, It would be better if you told us who in your opinion should be playing and where.Everyone in the thread wants to keep ‘backing the boys’, players who have been on the list 5+ years and who time and time again provide the same results.

Half these posters may as well join our coaching staff with that attitude.

Compared to match day threads, this is a Boy Scout campfire.
Of the players that were dropped and played WAFL last week, I can't make a case for any of them to be playing seniors.
I have a suspicion that our team would play better with Rotham as a second ruck.
I have a suspicion that our team would play better with Rotham as a second ruck. I don't think he'd win many (any?) taps, but he showed plenty around the ground against Subiaco. It's like putting Grigg or Pickett in there. And honestly, we are paying a high price each week by including both Williams and Jamieson for their development. Neither would be playing in most sides.
I'm confused, didn't we just back in some of our old boys, our 'credit in the bank' boys (such a meaningless term) and lo+behold we nearly beat a top 4 side, or came close. It was definitely a different result. Apparently those rusty A-grade boys provided some age old chemistry and know how? They brought the skills necessary to enable the game plan and create more link up. It wasn't just a coincidence.Everyone in the thread wants to keep ‘backing the boys’, players who have been on the list 5+ years and who time and time again provide the same results.
