That’s your response to all the points I just listed?
You bring up the obviously sarcastic one?

Sarcastic or not you are correct .. the output would still be the same…

The Media department then decide to troll everybody by putting out not one but two videos of this spud to celebrate his 100th game…

Nic Nat a sneaky chance? Only ever plays limited game time.

I don't think so unfortunately - was listed as 2-3 weeks away last week. Would be nice though.

Jamieson looks a good prospect for the future but not yet and I'm not sure about Williams yet. Either way, they only played 128% game time combined so if NN can play even 50% game time it would be worth it.

Everyone in the thread wants to keep ‘backing the boys’, players who have been on the list 5+ years and who time and time again provide the same results.

Over half the year gone, 1 win and we are none the wiser in terms of even using this opportunity to see if some of these players can be played in other positions.

Half these posters may as well join our coaching staff with that attitude.

Everyone in the thread wants to keep ‘backing the boys’,

Nobody has said that

I'm am strongly in favour of:
-Naming a full team of 22 players plus sub/emergencies
-Fair/reasonable discussion rather than uninformed keyboard warrior crap

Govs a tough khent, will probably play with broken ribs.

Out: nelson
In: kelly
Been known to kick bags of wheat over silos with broken ribs...or so the rural myth goes.
Building back a winning culture is more important than dropping 1 or 2 places down the draft order for mine. It goes to the standards the club sets itself internally. Application is just as important as talent, if not more so. That's my 2c at least.
It's a fine balance between the two perhaps?
The art of tanking is not easy, it's taken a lot of hard work to get where we are!
Why waste it, why not seize the opportunity since we're already there - it's a very, very rare situation for us to be in and a chance to add 'genuine' talent to our list and insure our future.
Been 12 years since we went to the 'well of golden guns'?
Mind you, the energiser bunny/Gaff was our #1 pick then (a debatable choice), fluked Darling and got a rookie born with broken ribs - The Gov.
The Roos drank from the well last year.
A winning culture we've mostly always had and can quickly return there with good talent.
Team can still apply itself for rest of season, smoothing out synergy and continuity and the game plan while the coach fiddles with the gears and buttons and smokescreen-machine that make us look like we're trying but just not good enough yet? (and keep showing emotion in the coaches box, that works well)

Nelson played forward in the first half on the weekend, before Gov got injured and we needed to swing him back. He’s also been used on a wing and in the middle at times.

Rotham played ruck in the WAFL.

Harry Edwards has been used as a ruck, that didn’t last long.

Jones has shifted into defence.

Yeo has shifted into defence.

Foley has been used on a wing.

Petch has been in the middle in the WAFL.

Apart from that, yeah we’re none the wiser.

You’re really hinging on that playing one player short aren’t you?

I don’t think anything I am saying, other than the obvious sarcasm, is uninformed.

But keep burying your head in the sand, I’m sure we need both of the tackles that Nelson registered

I agree, Jones and Yeo have been successful moves.
The problem still lies with our midfield at the end of the day and the main spot we keep flogging the same dead horse unfortunately.

Would love to see Shuey playing Petch’s role with short stints in the middle and Clark spending more time at the coal face.

Gaff purely on a wing and West taking Gaff’s share of CBA’s.

I haven’t seen an updated version of this, but as of two games ago West had attended a lot more CBs than Gaff.

So Connor West attended nearly three times as many centre bounces as Gaff on the weekend, even though Gaff is taking centre bounces off West?

Rather than continually potting players, It would be better if you told us who in your opinion should be playing and where.
At least then we can discuss it.

Of the players that were dropped and played WAFL last week, I can't make a case for any of them to be playing seniors.

We have so many negative posters on here that just want to complain and put the boot into the club.
If you try and defend the club, you're either an apologist or have your head in the sand.

A prime example was after team selection last week.
We get the typical, "players with credits in the bank come back", "just wait until Yeo, Shuey and Rioli break down" etc.

We get our best performance of the year, and get crickets in response from these posters.

Look at the match thread.
Player X does something good, he might get 4 or 5 good posts.
Player X then makes a bad error and he gets 10 posts calling him a spud.

I have a suspicion that our team would play better with Rotham as a second ruck. I don't think he'd win many (any?) taps, but he showed plenty around the ground against Subiaco. It's like putting Grigg or Pickett in there. And honestly, we are paying a high price each week by including both Williams and Jamieson for their development. Neither would be playing in most sides.

Agreed, although we potentially have Kelly, Ryan and SPS depending on their fitness levels.

I like the idea, does he need more than 1 run there at WAFL level though?

Maybe:
Out: Gov Nelson Jamo
In: Kelly Ryan Rotham

B: Hurn Barass Duggan
HB: Yeo Bazzo Jones

C: Gaff Sheed Redden
R: Williams Kelly West

HF: Rioli Darling Cripps
F: Waterman JK Ryan

I: Hough, Shuey, Petch, Rotham

My hope, with Rotham, is the MC saw his output upfield and how more comfortable and assured he was without ‘deep defence pressure’ that they will try him on a wing or……somewhere further away from deep defence.

IMO guys not going to make it in deep defence.

I'm confused, didn't we just back in some of our old boys, our 'credit in the bank' boys (such a meaningless term) and lo+behold we nearly beat a top 4 side, or came close. It was definitely a different result. Apparently those rusty A-grade boys provided some age old chemistry and know how? They brought the skills necessary to enable the game plan and create more link up. It wasn't just a coincidence.
At this stage am not sure if it's about wins any more, it's the little steps forward, but another win sure would feel good.
Over half the year gone and we are much more the wiser as to who is better in what positions and who is a stayer or a goer at season's end.

This is the sort of s**t posting I come here for. Grammar NAzis are my favourite Nazis

Didn’t mean to be a grammar nazi (this time, anyway). Just thought you should know cest pit isn’t the phrase. Not sure it’s even a thing, though it sounds a little bit like a subcategory on pornhub.
