God just the thought of hopper, taranto and martin at a centre bounce just ******* bullying their opponents off the ball. How are they getting near the ball? seriously i just dont see carlton winning a clearance in the first quarter next year. Theyre ******* done.
True, they couldn't handle Dion on his own in the second meeting.

Yes and actually handballing the ball not chucking it like the dogs midfielders and biggest chucker of them all cripps

We are s**t when Nank & Soldo play together so Ivan is always going to be a backup player, but if Nank goes down we could be in strife. Tiges traditionally been good at snagging bargain ruckman.

I reckon the improvement in Miller has just about pushed Soldo out. Miller is quicker around the ground. It also still gives someone like Samson Ryan another year to develop.

Looking at our current list, I just cant see it realistically being anyone other than Soldo. Wont be Graham and the remaining players Castagna, Aarts, Stack, Mansell & Martyn are just packet of chips material.

Tom Brown is a contracted first round pick just like Hopper.

If they want him then it's a straight swap and nothing more. I know there's no actual link here but I'm just being hypothetical.

Hopper was a pick 7 I think and has lived up to it. Brown a pick 17 and too early to tell. Of course it is based on nothing but a bit of amateur deduction, but Brown and our 2022 second rounder(likely about pick 33-34) or 2023 second rounder likely around a similar value for Hopper seems a fair trade to me.

12 &19 for a ready to go bull… bring it

welcome to the best club in the world Tim

Instead we use 12 & 19 in the draft …and…and…and…speculation…hope…frustration..etc

Probably going to slide to picks 14 and 21 as well so seems reasonable for a desperate need. It is about the value of pick 4 on the draft points index. I expected we would have gotten off a bit lighter than that but you wouldn’t be turning your back on the deal due to that cost.

I’m not sure how people let Rendell onto the radio as a trade expert with a straight face. I’m dead certain they must be paying him with Monopoly money

I heard him on SEN say that Port will offer pick 8 and their first pick next year and then say if next years pick isn’t a top ten they’ll have to throw in something extra. Which means either Port can tell the future or the AFL have included bracketing of future picks and told absolutely no one

I never understand this comparison.
If you had pick 4, would you trade it for 14 and 21 as it's equal value?

Draft points aren't relevant in all trades.

Just trying to work out what makes the most sense for GWS. Getting a more experienced player would mean a higher salary and if they were on $350k at Richmond they might want $450k to go to GWS, sort of negating some of their salary dumping happening now. The only other thing i can think of is an older player to help Kingsley implement a game plan, but I am struggling to see anyone suitable who would likely want to go. Broad would be about the closest I could think of. Still think it is more likely a very young player.
Wtf would we give up Brown?

It's a crock in most cases.
