I like this one he has with the Slime ball Gossage.
He’s such a snide c***sucker with his questions, but Luke is so laid back it doesn’t bother him at all… “or maybe it doesn’t even register” haha
He’d never interview a eagle recruit like this. Could also see this line of questioning making a bloke like McCarthy or Hogan uneasy.
Really don’t think the hypes going to brother this bloke.
Probably helps tho that the media can also watch Tippa, JOM & a refreshed Fyfe light it up next season too!

Did he really make that “ maybe it doesn’t register” comment? If so thst has to be one of the most unprofessional things I’ve heard said on radio

Well get set for our flag push next year now we have O'Meara. Might as well keep Lobb, tbh. We obviously think we are in it.

Looking forward to Ras/Johnson's trade request.
If it gets us a flag it will be worth it.
I would give Serong and Brayshaw away tomorrow if it guaranteed a freo flag. (It wouldn’t but you get my point)
A Fremantle premiership comes before everything else and every player.

This is post dodgy knee JoM, not prime Ablett Jnr. No chance he is anywhere near the difference between a flag or not.

from the omeara thread on main board.

I'd be asking if Hawthorn have any interest in extending his contract at all, because if that's a no it doesn't really matter what else is going on.

Pushing out their two senior midfielders is a club changing the guard.

If this has been going on behind the scenes I can't imagine it only breaks once we've traded away all our draft capital and we have a high trade price to pay.

The big bodied mid we have been after we just traded in.
I dont see a need for O'Meara and yes he will slow down the development of last years draft.
Its in Freos best interest to drive up O'mearas price by providing competition to GWS so Hawthorn get a better hand to then deal on to us for Meek.
I think everything will go as we all planned from the get go.
The Bulldogs pay up for Lob, Hawthorn pays up for Meek, we do some pick swaps and then get Sharp for a high 3rd round.
Every thing will go through late so the AFL and Young have a great story for this years doco.

But the again O'Meara if almost free why not!

Mid Rookies usually play big minutes on the wing.
Brayshaw spend alot of 18/19 on the wing JOM could be a stop gap to fill mundy’s role while Raz develops. Going after JOM possibly means Sharp is 0% chance to come

For the right price, I can definitely get around this. But I don't necessarily like what it means for Erasum & Johnson (mostly Erasmus, think Johnson could play wing early stages if need be). Doesn't just impact their chances next year, makes it hard for the next few

Lead Hawthorn in tackles playing fat side and high half forward

Yes Hawthorn in the last two years have bean pure lead in their tackling, and play a rubbish game style with kicking backwards out from their own forward 50.

So JOM supposedly "leads" tackling based on that game style (he actually doesn't come close to leading in tackles on any of the stats I can find for 2020-221, Mitchell, Worpel, Shiels, Bruest and Wingard have all had more tackles than JOM when fit.

That’s just horrible to listen to from Gossage.
Jackson comes across as a really nice young lad. A bit naive and green maybe, but he’s already sounding like a very genuine guy that just wants to fit in and will be popular member of the group.

Tim Gossage - I hope you read this. I’m sure you google your name on BF every now and again.
You are a nasty nasty piece of work. I hope you felt good about yourself trying to ridicule and catch out a young lad that came on your Mickey Mouse radio show in good faith to talk about a positive moment for him and his family, a kid that’s already achieved more in his life than a pathetic bottom feeder like you will ever accomplish.
Get ****ed.
