The only thing I wonder about is why he wasn’t interested in first Collingwood then Carlton then Essendon but now interested in us … to be honest I’ve never felt he had much affection for us other than the playing group from that period who are all gone ..

On 6th April, when previewing our match against Hawthorn, Lyon said on Footy Classified that is a Saints man and he wanted us to do well. So yes, I think there is some sentimentality about it.
