Hinkley is on a fixed term contract which would not include a long service leave provision.
Google indicated otherwise.
10 years continuous work entitles to LSL.
after 10 years of work, working week ends etc deserve LSL imo

In most states, casual and permanent employees are entitled to long service leave. “Long-term” casual employees are also entitled to unpaid parental leave, provided they’ve been employed on a regular basis for 12 months or more.

After 48 years of continuous "work", Ken Hinkley's brain took it's entitled long service leave from his body.

OK, you've convinced me.

Happy for Hinkley to take his 13 weeks LSL at half pay commencing Friday 17 March 2023 and returning on 15 September 2023. That'll give him time to clear out his desk before his contract ends.

As long as Koch is our Chairman, Hinkley will be head coach, unless ken gets an offer from some where else.

Looking forward to renewing my passion for my club but I think they want want us die hards gone so they can just make the numbers work, this is not about premierships any more. It's very sad but I think we are just another AFL club now, when you see other clubs making change because they are sick of mediocrity and Port just keep banging the square peg in the round hole, it goes against everything the club I grew up with stood for.

Blight also got smashed in a couple grand finals. There's no doubt an element of luck was involved in his Adelaide flags.

He only got smashed once -1994. As he says he had 3 pizza GF losses, small, medium and large. Gary Ayres coached in 1995 when carlton smashed them.

As if that Geelong wasn't a dynasty team themselves. Face it they underachieved not getting a flag.

They didn't win any silverware so no they were not a dynasty team.

The Hawthorn & West Coast sides were better teams, go and look at the West Coast backline compared to Hinkley & his mates.

..and their centreline:

Mainwaring, Kemp, Matera

..then Heady and Lewis on forward flanks.

Sumich and Evans kicking sausage rolls.

An amazing team.

Probably would have shit a flag or two if they didn't have Hinkley stinking up the backlines

Youse need to understand that it was a tough competition and someone had to lose.
