Hope we take them seriously. This is a must win game.
Ironically, I would be very worried about us taking it easy if we were playing the Hawks at home.

Beating Hawks in Tassie will mean we need to bring our best, they have performed well down there over the years.

Agree but also let Tex make that decision. He knows his body best.

I love what I'm seeing coming from Fog. All his goals are power and class. Lots of brute strength.
I don't agree with this philosophy.

We saw where it led with the "just try and stop Sauce from playing" attitude when he was completely worn out and couldn't jump over a blade of grass.

Highly competitive athletes always put their hand up.

Tex clearly had a foot injury and played a significant portion of the season a couple of years back. He didn't tell them "No I can't play. I'm injured." Then post season we hear the foot is injured.

Not the same team that was losing to West Adelaide at half time. It's that team with all the top-ups replaced by Schoenberg, Berry, McAdam, Gollant, Parnell and Worrell

And yes, they'd be in with a chance to beat West Coast. Because West Coast are fielding their WAFL team. They've got like 7 good players on the park.
I am not confident we will beat Hawthorn in Tassie this week with our best 43 players available for selection. The chance of our seconds beating an AFL team is Zero (and I regularly watch our SANFL team).

Almost feels like someone is trolling 🙄.

Nope not trolling. West Coast's current AFL side is that bad. I think they only have 24 fit players to choose from.

With that said I heard Shuey is available so that probably tips it slightly in West Coast's favor

I'll be there, driving up in the morning with my son.

Should be a cracker of a day at the footy ...

Can we finally beat the bloody Hawks in Tassie?

I was at the last time we were favourites too - THAT game at Blundstone against the Roos :-(
Sounds like we need an intervention

We have beaten Hawthorn in Tassie. But the only player we have that played in that game this week is Max Michelanney (Ben Hart MKII!) Chris Knights debuted in that game. We also made a prelim final that year (2005). Umpire Matthew Nichols was officiating in his 34th game back then. I wonder if we get him again?

Thankfully hawthorn were really good against GWS , good enough for everyone to take notice

If they play like that again and it’s in Tassie it’s a real 50/50
I watched them against Geelong and they were witches hats 2nd half. It really depends which team turns up.

Different kinds of players

I’d say Murphy offers a bit of what McAdam doesn’t and vice versa

Murphy is definitely giving us some spice higher up the ground and in career best form
Adding McAdam allows Rash and Rankine to play further up the ground thou. Also, McAdam offers another point of difference in the forward line. These are just my thoughts although McAdam hasn't played a competitive match in a month so maybe next week.

Last week there were four players missing from my pre-season best 22. Worrell, Berry, Schoenberg and McAdam were replaced by Michalanney, Sholl, Jones and Murphy. Since Worrell is probably 3-4 weeks away from playing in the AFL, the only tough call is Berry.

In the preseason Berry looked like he would be going to the next level and his flat start to the season is baffling. Providing he is fit, we must keep faith with him, same story with Soligo, Rachele, Thilthorpe, Pedlar and Michaelanney. I expect no changes this week but I would be happy if we found a spot for Berry. This would be a very tough call but

Out - Sholl, In -Berry (and Soligo plays mostly on the wing).
