Stomach infections/problems have been associated with long covid. There's a bit of it about.
Not saying Waterman has that...

Great news for Jeremy Howe.

3 months after a horific 'car smash' broken arm in three places and4 surgeries.

He is back in selection contention and has been in full contact training for weeks.

At least they're putting him on hold for two weeks and have learnt their lesson, look at what happened last time he pulled up sore after midweek training.

Has Gov's new contract been confirmed or is it all assumptions?

Nothing from the club

Seems that’s there’s a general acceptance in the media an extension has been signed though

He’s done well to be in selection frame reasonably “quickly” after the injury. Am glad in our desperation to improve we aren’t just throwing him back in. Fingers crossed it is a sign of a change in approach. However, cue the accusations of tanking for some of the usual suspects in the media for not playing our game experienced folk 😂

And people scoffed when I said he would be back this year before Nic Nat.

Not surprised the club aren't saying anything. We've essentially repeated the Nicnat mistake though I'd bet that McGovern has demanded and will receive bigger money that what Nic is currently getting.

When the recent news came out that he was going to fit for this week my though was great, he can prove it in the WAFL for the next 2 weeks. As its turned out, he didn't even get beyond main training.

Rhino's words "pulled up sore" sounds like understatement to me. I'd speculate McGovern's re-injured the hamstring, at least to a certain extent, and probably won't be available for a month. What a waste of money.

I challenge people to find another club who's gotten next to nothing as a return on their close to million dollar players like the Eagles have. McGovern, Yeo, Naitanui, Kelly finally showing signs of close to what he was at Geelong

Carlton with Williams, their own Gov and Curnow before he stopped falling over round his house?
