Rankines been a nothing in the key moments of the season

5 for a small forward, no matter how good at it, is stupidity. Nobody pays that price.

Fair enough, just think it’s a lot of energy to use on something that seems to let you down so often. The Crows never let me down or make me any happier, after a win or loss I feel exactly the same and move on with my week. I’m already over that loss tonight and watching the tennis.

I wouldn't hang my hat on much from tonight to be honest. Skill and effort far below what it needs to be..our forward line went missing in the 2nd half which could attributed to i50

Honestly thought our forwards were poor tonight... competing against each other at contests, poor crumbing... but midfield was crap too!

If all we were ever going to do with Rankine was park him in the forward 50, I would have preferred we kept the draft pick and got Phillipou.

The guy Gold Coast drafted with the pick we gave them for Rankine looks very good and is a likely future midfielder too

Keays got 88, Berry (64) got 2 less than mcadam (66) where is his token game?

Rankine was completely garbage tonight.

Why we didn't throw him on ball or a wing to bring him into the game... only shows our lack of imagination in the coaching box.

We need someone in the coaching box who thinks outside the box.

I wouldn't even call that outside the box thinking. We spent all preseason hyping up how Rankine could time in the midfield and then proceeded to give him zero time in the midfield. It's down to pure stubbornness and refusal to make a change.

Rankine was one of our best in the Showdown win when he played up the ground (remember that "pick pocket" in the center boundary). Not sure why he has been playing less up the ground and even in the midfield late in the season, he clearly has the tank in his 5th season.

means sweet fxxk all when you have one of the worst midfields in the comp delivering pure unadulterated sh*t to it..

especially when your forward line is up against the comps best defensive unit.

We have a poor midfield but it hasn’t stopped us kicking the second most goals this year in the competition. Correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure the midfield has been the same all year?

The forwards just had a Barry Crocker tonight and it was a huge part of us losing. That’s not the midfielders’ fault.
