The irony is we have worsened our finals chances by backing in our senior players for the CBA'S.

Scary thing Is our coaching panel are clueless to this...
Exactly

I dont know how to feel on that game

On one hand - If I have short term vision and look at it through a 2023 and 2023 only lens. It's an embarrassing result and the end of our season.

But on the other hand - I look at it through the long term vision. We're trending well, Sloane's the only stalwart who's almost certainly out of here at seasons end, and today felt like we're relying on the fitter players (ie. Experienced - Did anyone besides Rory, Rory, Ben or Jordan get a CBA?), because we'rerunning the kids into the ground FOR THE LONG TERM FOCUS. On that front, today feels like the short term pain for the long term gain.

End of the day. That game (performance in 1st and 4th quarters, conversion in 2nd) was frustrating as f***. But at the end of the day, we're not winning the premiership this year. So taking the pain today, and looking at how we're building (look at Pedlar, Rachelle, Worrell etc.) it's quite positive.

Yeah, I can see the arguements for sack Nicks. But this feels like we're heading in the right direction still. We're getting better year on year still.

I was pissed today (First time in AO era I left my seat before games end) but I do feel making finals this year was batting above average, and we're about on track for what our long term goals are.

If you have a great life, then why watch a team that you think lets you down consistently? I have a great life too and it sucks when the Crows lose, but I enjoy footy and will keep watching regardless each week. I certainly don’t think the Crows let me down, I have zero control over how they operate, it’s purely entertainment.

I've invested quite a lot of time at this point and I want the payoff. I'm deeply invested and I care. I'm sure that's the same as most people on this forum, I mean we're talking about people with tens of thousands of footy forum posts

Quite calm. Season done and I'm not mad because I knew it was coming.

We've done well this year, above expectations. But we're never going to be competitive with this midfield.

Good night
I suspect we will just miss finals as I predicted preseason.

The problem is the club actually teased me we could make finals... but have put that to bed the last 2 weeks.

But you said they let you down consistently, isn’t there better ways to spend your time on things you can control and won’t let you down consistently?

Clear to see where the good old Crows mentality of backing in our stacked midfield is coming from.

Goodbye and thanks Roo, piss right off. Sloane, Keays, Smith cost us big tonight and last week.

GIVE THE KIDS A GO.

nothing changes until ceases being the biggest voice when it comes to matters football. He's a legit spud as a person of influence in an AFLclub.

This holy than thou attitude telling other supporters "they can go support someone else" is incredibly disrespectful and rude.

I'm either going to support the club and watch the games, or not support the club and not watch the games.

I'm not ready to give up yet. I like the game of AFL and care about the club.

Yeah… its our forward lines fault..

let me guess.. you think laird, sloane and keays are guns.. sholl is a hardnut… and murphy is great.
Nice strawman pal, yeah that’s exactly what I think.

You must be a very smooth brained individual if you think those numbers for our forward line are acceptable. Especially considering our forward is meant to be our weapon

Just pay your membership fee and don't question the club. This is the the way of the AFC.

Lost at selection over the last 6 weeks.

ugly the repeated selection of duds and no blooding of future talent therefore not working out if they are talent.
Unfortunately we have lost sight that we are still in rebuilding mode & that we need to prioritise talent... even if it means missing finals.

Dude we get it. Someone could take a giant dump on your head and you'd thank them for the hat. Just leave the rest of us out of it.

Is it depressing having this type of attitude? What gets you up to continue watching if you actually believe this?
People care about the club.
The club couldn't care less
Fwiw i agree, our midfield is so substandard that any other area of the ground we are actually good is compromised as well
Need another rebuild

Take a chill pill, folks. We played manic-pressure football in the 1st two-and-a-half quarters then faded. No surprise with a young side. Give it a year or two and more mature bodies and we'll win this sort of game.
The insults being thrown at the club and some players are juvenile. Did I mention maturity? It ain't just the players.
Yeah, I agree our selection this year has been putrid. Nicks should have worked out who the passengers are by now.

You can have the best forward line in the comp..

means sweet fxxk all when you have one of the worst midfields in the comp delivering pure unadulterated sh*t to it..

especially when your forward line is up against the comps best defensive unit.

understand.. Pal.

It’s more the talent is there, just want to see better results

Come on man how many times did we hit up leads
I think our forward line was actually worse than our midfield tonight... but both were poor.

Brodie Smith is s**t. Hate to say it but he sucks

Another match where he had 685 meters gained for ONE score involvement.

He bangs it long without looking and has little to no impact

been telling Jeffcrowe this for 2-3 months. Remove his free hits from oppo points and he gives us next to nothing. Just hacks long with his leg, has lost the passion/ability to run hard forward first.

Is that what you are hanging your hat on?

ROB & inside midfield 4 were terrible tonight.
Not really but I mean can't say we stuffed up CBAs when we won centre clearances. I get that we may not have scored from them but did the giants? It wasn't really a free scoring game.

I wouldn't hang my hat on much from tonight to be honest. Skill and effort far below what it needs to be..our forward line went missing in the 2nd half which could attributed to i50
