As soon as defenders realise that holding and blocking Curnow when the ball is nowhere within the contested call area the the sooner there will be less free kicks given to Curnow.

I thought Charlie should have had about 3 more free kicks in the first half
Exactly right … the guys a freak and almost impossible to beat one on one even two on one … in reality if he isn’t infringed he’s marking it and defenders know this …

7mins to go in the first quarter, TDK goes up for a ruck contest in centre, bad bounce, TDK uses hand to keep opposing ruck away and gets called for a ruck infringement

I am an old timer but surely that is not a free kick and the umpire has ****** up, surely the rules haven’t changed that much and rucks can stop opposition rucks from winning the tap??

People can downvote me if they like, but I'm solidly in turf the bounce and just throw it up.

I can't stress enough how crucial and important the improvement and total buy in from our bottom 6 players like Fogarty and Cotters is to our winning streak, and credit to both them and Vossy

Every player is contributing/doing their job..Couldn't be happier

Infuriates the hell out of me as well. I know the incident you’re referring to as well. The ball was bounced on TDK’s head… not sure what they expect him to do.

Good morning all

We have been playing premiership football the last 6 weeks, from the second quarter of the Gold Coast game.
Literally it was like a switch.

Will we remember the “after quarter time against GCS” as the exact moment where the club “clicked” in the first time in over 20 years and go on to produce something special??

Woke up this morning and couldn't believe it was actually real. Just an incredible performance by the boys. This is the best energy around the club I've seen in 20 plus years. Finals would be excellent, but even if we just miss, you can feel the mood has shifted.
I cant see them missing from here.

Our game style is transferable - its well balanced between defense & attack & requires one simple thing - optimum pressure.

if they want it - they just need to execute.

It was tough because the bounce put the ball on his head and he couldn’t protect himself, but it wasn’t a wrong decision.

Further to this, it’s known as the “Mathew Primus” rule. To stop ruckmen from running past the line and blocking the opposing ruckman out of the contest. You can block if it’s a legitimate part of going for the ball, but you can’t do it as a seperate action. In this case TDK puts his arm out and blocks the ruckman and then goes for the ball.

if that is the rule, then it’s another reason the ball needs to be thrown up, only way TDK can then not infringe is to move away from his opponent and give him the advantage or try not to touch an opponent, ridiculous

Easily best win since 2013. Where to start?

Charlie is truly the king of the CFC. That goal in the third where he roved his own crumbs and snapped - Careyesque

I know he has a way to go but Ollie Hollands will be something special. Unfazed by the big occasion made an awful error early with Maynard but how good was his response? And again later in the game. This kid cracks in so hard for his size and covers the ground. Will be elite.

Owies/Jesse/Fogarty their pressue inside 50 was manic. Still cant believe we held that pressure all night. Phenomenal. Jesse Motlop plays well in big games.

Cerra must be a smoky for the Brownlow his season has been epic. Last few rounds may cost him.

Dow needs to keep playing seeing more glimpses but still not enough. Just a confidence thing.

For the first time in a long time I felt confident we would win at half time. We went with a plan and executed it to perfection, Collingwood never actually looked like they were a chance. Kudos to Vossy and the coaches and kudos to the team who were able to turn it around quickly after a slow start.

We are actually now the form side of the competition. With elite players to come back in. Premisership a reality if we keep this up.

Geez. What a win that was.

Didn't post after the win last night. Wanted to soak it all in and enjoy because that was something special.

I said earlier in the week that I saw that game as a free hit at the Pies, and that I care much more about the performance than the result.

To get both...wow.

A lot of emotions flowing after that one. Above all else; pride.

This ****ing club.

Go Blues.

Still have no voice from last night. I was a little surprised how early they piled out of the exits considering their previous comebacks - enjoyed it greatly.
What a win!
Now time to settle in on a lazy Saturday and watch the replay.

The standard plaudits for Charlie and Weiters.
Newman fantastic. Cerra first half was great.
J Martin! It was his turn this week, although Cuners was quiet-ish those two have turned our forward mix around (with the Fog)

Great to have Marchy back too!
WOOOO
