Hello Tiger fans!

The embedded resources below are kept up to date by the trade board mods (as much as possible – we are human after all). Enjoy!

tugga you may like to sticky or merge this post, move it to the start of the thread (so the sticky post doesn't rotate if a post is deleted before it), or copy it to your draft thread.

I would give Biggie another year
He has had long enough. Not going to make it. Still barely impacts at vfl level other than once or twice a season.
Don’t think it’s worth keeping both Biggy/Miller

And Miller has shown more to persist with at this stage
Miller is contracted otherwise he'd be out too. Absolute list clogger. The least competitive bloke on our list.

One player that I would add to trade table would be Daniel Rioli. Love the what he has done and how he is playing at the moment, but half back is one of the positions that we have an abundance of talent.

If GWS offered our first back for Daniel Rioli, we should take them up IMO

I actually think we could do with more pace in our half backs. Short, banks, etc are quick but not compared to the small forwards chasing them. Only Rioli can break a line for us. We could do with some more speed.

Balta would of helped in that regards but he had to play full back with Tarrant breaking down. Broad played taller as well but he’s generally good for some rebound.

Miss Houli badly.

Sneaky one I was reminded of when watching the VFL highlights just now. Collingwood's almost 21yo 194cm 3rd year forward/mid Reef McInnes. He might be tough to prise away as is contracted for 2024, but it is possible we could interest him with a very good chance he could be playing AFL for us rather than waiting for someone to die to create a spot in the Pies ancient team. They have just fielded what I am pretty sure is the oldest team in history bar Geelong 2022. If the Pies fielded their rd 23 team in the GF this year(if they make it) they would be 28 yrs 6 months average v Geelong 2022 GF team 28 yrs 7 months. So the Pies are fully committed to older players and there may well be the chance to get some of their younger players off them, not dissimilar to the way the Cats lost Jordan Clark and Kreuger, who got sick of waiting for someone to die. Can play midfield and forward I think. Not sure where he fits into our team next year but if he keeps developing ok then maybe after next season we could make a play for him.

Short played the Houli role very well, great foot skills. Rioli is incredibly quick. Pushed Short out.

Saad runs and bounces a lot for Carlton as he did for the suns and essadon. I'm sure EFC would've loved to retain him. But got good offer. Connor McKenna left due to COVID. Now at Brizzy

I'd use Shorts kicking on Kmacs wing. Or leave Banks there

Dont forget CCJ instead of Oscar Allen
They don't do everything right but North paid big for him. Sun gave Chol 4 years. He was great back up for King, but didn't make finals.
We have just won 3 flags. I couldn't give a f about winning trade week. Go barrack for EFC. They're champs. Dodoro is a genuius.
Our team in 2016 bought in 3 players. Astute, delivered a flag or 3. Chol played one final, and CCJ was developing OK The club didn't match the offers they got. Soldo a flag ruckman, How good was Ryan ?.

Going for TT & JH was a fail in terms of success this year. Nothing wrong with their footy.
CCJ & Chol out and Lynch Gibcus injured left us a KPF short. Van Rooyen wouldve been nice. Would we have done any better?
Maybe there's a FA KPF coming soon.

Off the back of bad trade for Hopper, tigers need to be active this trade period. Put Soldo, Graham, Ralphsmith, Prestia if he wants out all for trade and Maybe get a couple of seconds and thirds, maybe package to move up where someone needs points. Dow should get another year, good signs with Brown. Can’t afford a second bad trade period running.

Last years trade period was quite good. Got what we wanted and needed

I'll never understand the point of going through drafting history and moaning about the players which were picked afterwards.

I mean it happens to EVERY club, it has never been an exact science and never will - some guys act like you'd never get a selection wrong which is the dumbest thing I've ever read.

But when we selected Cotchin, Dusty, Rance, Jack when other clubs could have, then that doesn't count.

And rookie selections like Short, Lambert, Baker then that was just an accidental and shouldn't get any credit for those?

Hey, I guess every clubs recruiter should wiki the draft 5 years later and nail every pick because that's what BigFooty does.

To me it seems like people have forgotten that sport is not linear and you're not going to win everything and nail everything. Ups and downs are what makes sport sport.... It's not scripted but hey, maybe little listen to Cornes and think he's right where everything is a scandal and clubs should never make mistakes.
