I actually think the analysis has been fairly well reasoned.

Those who say we’ll miss the 8 claim:

• our tall forwards aren’t proven
• our backline can’t afford injury
• our mids are already impacted by injury
• apart from 2022 we’ve been ordinary

Of course, there’s counter arguments to be made against each point & we’ve brought in some good cattle - but not everyone MUST rate Sydney as a boom side.

JJ had 3 clearances in the last quarter after Adams went down. I think he can play more inside than what he was playing at Melbourne, except he got pushed out due to their massive strength

He is, however, from the same draft as Rowbottom, and just one year ahead of Chad. So the idea he can protect players not quite ready to lead at the coalface is somewhat odd.

It's seems like they rate every other club improving naturally more than they rate Sydney's ability to do the same even with our new additions.
