Vanders and McNeil need to be shot out of a cannon never to be seen again. And Beveridge needs to get fair dinkum with his messaging. The players drop their heads and play like absolute numpties the minute the game gets slightly difficult. A team playing like that is 100% on the coach.

All I have to say is: how often do we have to see the same output of performances from the same players and expect different results? In a way the output of the same 3-4 players is more disappointing by virtue of the fact that it wasn't unexpected.

Was at the game and 2 big things stuck out.

1. Melbourne brought great work and pressure and we were the opposing e. No clear chains through the middle for us because Melbourne were constantly on our hammer but when they had the ball, it was handball receive city with no pressure.

2. McNeil obviously played a shocker but after his first turnover that led to a goal out the back, literally no player went to him. Something rotten at the kennel.

Does anyone in our team know what Petracca feels like? Never seen a player near him, does he smell that bad?

Selections everyone else here could see were wrong, if we don’t make at least 4 changes next week we just aren’t serious.

The two things I wanted to see were ball movement & closing down of space, both were non-existent today.

Probably the biggest disappointment out of the game.

We played with zero energy for either.

Players standing still asking for a short pass when we had the ball at halfback. Some players had to run and ask for the 1-2 because others made no effort to get involved and get it moving. No blocks which allowed Melbourne players to run is down multiple times.

The other way, Melbourne transitioned with ease because we made stupid positional decisions or made a half arsed effort to close up any potential receivers.

We played 1st gear football most of the game because things got too hard. Pitiful!

It's a solid strategy to play Naughton deep on a guy who loves nothing better than to play a static game where he can use his bulk to advantage. So much for the pre-season games where he played high with stints through the middle. I guess that was just a bit of a lark and we should go with the tried and true playing him to Mays advantage. Yet again.

Of all the things that pissed me off with Beveridge today (and there was a multitude) it was leaving Naughton deep in the forward line for the entire ****ing game.

Tim and Lobb, just **** off holy shit. English is just awful. Lobb looked great preseason, surprise. Please bring Darcy in he is so much better and more competitive than these campaigners.

Yep Macrae & Daniel are definitely not better than McNeil and co. Typical getting sucked in by preseason form in nothing games.

And yeah the rest, wow this team is not playing for each other.

I actually wouldn’t have cared too much with a loss but the way that happened, the way I’ve seen it happen so many times now, enoughs enough sack the ****ing lot of em. Terrible
