Need a genuine inside mid to come in for Yeo otherwise the load on 19 year old Reid’s shoulders becomes to great.

Unfortunately our only options there are Trew who may not even be available and Hall who is also 19.

Duggan to mid is our best option imo
Whether you like it or not. Sheed is in and Yeo is out. Thats the change

Gotta grin and hope for the best

Culley started as an inside mid?

No Mihocek, De gooey, Mitchell, Mcreery and Schultz.
That's gonna help off-set the Yeo, Loosh, Long outs.

If Kelly can reproduce what he brought in the second half for a whole game that will go a long way to helping us cause an upset.

Just need to get the in's right and pick players that will perform.

Hmmmm. We are a chance farken.

We have no forward line with our only genuine small forward playing as though he is lost.

I don’t think magpies have lost anyone super critical to winning this game.

Bad news about Mihocek. I actually really like watching him play - he seems a really unique type of player in the league and is pretty bloody effective if you ask me.

Mihocek out is actually really good for us.

McGovern pays him absolutely no respect, and there’s been a few times Mihocek has made him pay for that.

Pies kicked a winning score courtesy of 11 individual goal scorers on the weekend. Daicos the only multiple goal scorer and jagged that one at the death to become one.

This game will be a lot less about shutting down one or two dangerous threats and more about system v system I think. Good watch to see who Hough goes to. Elliott or Bobby Hill?

They're not particularly tall. Edwards played well in the WAFL. Could he return and TB or Gov pushes forwards into Waterman's position?

I think we are overplaying the size and experience of Collingwood’s midfield.

No de Goey, no Mitchell.

They’ll have Daicos, Pendlebury (who is big), and someone like a Finn Macrae, or maybe even a Josh Carmichael.

They’re not going to monster us the way a Melbourne would, even if they do get on top, or even as physical/bash and crash as Essendon were on the weekend.

Reid, Kelly, Ginbey, Duggan, Sheed as a midfield is fine. Even throw in Chesser if we must.

Lots of over reactions in here.

The kids will be ok without Yeo this week.

Chesser in is a good shout. Wonder if Hunt will be back to take the wing spot or if Harvey can run out a full game on the wing..

In Shuey’s presser today one of the journos asked if Johnston could come in for Long.

I hadn’t thought about that, but it might actually be a good in for Longy. Johnston has good skills, is fast and has shown he knows his way around goals in WAFL.

I’d be surprised if Whopper didn’t get a full game this week tbh.

Some interesting decisions to be made this week, do we...
1. Go an extra ruck and move Bailey forward to have that additional height in the f50.
2. Roll with an extra Fwd, Bring Maric back and debut Archer?
3. Go extra small fwd and drop Ryan in the Goal Square and just have him run amok down there?

Not sure we have a ruck to bring in if Barnett didn't play

No De Goey, no Mitchell and now no Mihocek.

Just quietly pies are gettable this week if you ask me.

If we had Yeo and Waterman I'd be very optimistic. Without Waterman, we're going to ask J Williams and Maric to beat Darcy Moore and Co. Pies have an excellent defence, so I don't see use kicking a winning score unless we absolutely dominate in the middle and have bulk i50. Don't see how we dominate the middle without Yeo.

I'd really like Harvey to get a full game this week. There's been a few mentions of him having gotten a taste and now heading back to the WAFL but I really don't imagine many players would get concrete takeaways after one quarter as sub - the whole experience would have been such a whirlwind. He'll learn far more going over his game this week, prepping for and playing a full game at AFL level this weekend and then if he heads back to WAFL after that he'll have a genuine body of takeaways and inspirations for how he'll take further steps as a player to go and work on.

If he's not quite ready for a full game and gets gassed/subbed off so be it, that'll be part of the learning it's a development year. Would be different if we had a plethora of options bashing the door down but in the absence of that he should play. Agree with you that he could be an ok replacement for Long and would be fine seeing him take up that role somewhat - would rather him get a full game even if we have to shuffle things a bit.

Nup. Too many outs, Sheed's gonna play and something in my waters says Gaff is gonna get the nod.

If we keep it under a 6 goal loss it will be a miracle.

Next possible W will be St Kilda I reckon.
