Yeah, agree that type of performance in the first two years of a new coach is not uncommon. Look at McRae who took Collingwood from 17th to a 1 pt loss in a prelim in his first year and a premiership in his second. I'll bet my house that when McRae's use by date is eventually up not a single AFL pundit will be screaming "ReMeMbEr 2021!!!!!".

IF it’s true, it had better mean he hands over the reins on his way out the door, not just relegating the job, but hanging around in another role.
