don't even know how to respond to this, its the afl not sanfl
Ah yes, the AFL. The competition we had the best W-L record in (I'm reliably informed this is the true measure of greatness) for the first 11 years after joining because the step up from the SANFL was so great.

if we don't win it this year im not that concerned, good list with more to come next year
I'm sure plenty of St. Kilda fans over the last 58 years have thought, "We'll win it next year."

we will have a greater chance of winning it in the next 5 years with Levi coming than this year but I don't want to derail the thread

Brother, we don’t care what you have to say. You don’t understand Port Adelaide, our club, history, and traditions. You don’t want to understand why we hate Ken. So stop arguing and harassing folks on this board. Please bugger off.

why do people have a fascination about how often I post, when I signed up to Bigfooty and how often I post has nothing to do with if ken is a good coach, I do agree with the last post about 12 years being too long, that would be a valid argument for a change in coach

You’re not quitting. We’ve told you to feck off. So feck off.
These words could just as easily be said to our senior coach. We've made our thoughts abundantly clear, but he just won't leave.

do you have some sort of crystal ball that can see until 2036?

No, but we do have one that can see from 2013 to 2023.

The question wasn’t perfectly phrased. It actually meant this:

We are back to 2013. You know what’s going to happen all the way up to 2023 with a certain coach: no GF, 3 PF losses, 2 SF losses, 1 EF loss; 3 Top-3 finishes, with 1 Minor Premiership; 11th is the worse ladder position. Would you still hire him for all those 11 years?

**** no! 😡

name the year port was meant to win a premiership, ken has overachieved with the list port has had

I just want to point out that in 2017, and in 2020, and in 2021, and in 2023, we were favourites in a home knockout final and lost all 4 of them.

The last knockout final we won with our coach was in 2014.

If you ignore the fact Port had beaten Hawthorn in their lone meeting in the minor round, and were statistically superior to the Hawks in the 2014 Prelim in,

• inside50’s: 50-44
• scoring shots: 29-22

And would go on to beat Hawthorn home and away the following season.

There was a reason the Hawks players were on their knees embracing, on the verge of tears in relief after that one. They dodged a massive bullet and knew it.

But sure fella, “clear powerhouse/no chance”.

This only makes 2015-2019 even more unbearable than it already was without context.

Hinkley is a failure no matter which way ya want to spin stats ect.
At Port Adelaide there is only one stat that matters.

We exist to win premierships.

Kenny Hinkley;
Seasons coached; eleven
Premierships: zero
