Draper kicking is way way overblown by some IMO, he's as good as most inside mids and his other assets tick all the boxes.
Give me Smith who has both plus poise
Langford has twice tested as the slowest mid in the draft. After spending the past few seasons bemoaning our lack of speed in the midfield, drafting him would be so typically sad/hilarious.
Would be very happy with either Draper or Smith.

Not so excited by Langford for our needs.

I think Peatling’s deservedly ahead of Dowling and Taylor right now. Things can change, but Peatling is currently more proven, he got coaches votes when played in there
Peatling is comfortably in our best side.

I have Taylor as sub on our fringe, but should pkay plenty of games given injuries.

Dowling may struggle to play many games, particularly if Edwards & pick 4 jump him.

Not every kid is the same, you know that ??
Yeah i realise but why would those clubs take the risk when they can get someone ranked about the same with no risk? It's the same reason why we rarely draft vic metro kids

People do realise that even if we did have list spots and assuming we still traded in cumming peatling and ANB, we wouldn't have early picks? Like none until 60+. Could've had one in the 40s if we'd chosen not to trade it.
Maybe we could've traded future picks to get back in, but that assumes a club wants to trade out of this draft which if it is so great we'd likely have to pay overs to convince them

Berry would have gotten us something as would laird or crouch if we paid their contracts. ANB we could have got for chump change or walked away from. But we chose a short term uplift over adding a potential flag contending piece.

Did he give any go home vibes
Didn't say anything either way that I red flagged. But carried himself like a guy who is confident as well as open and excited about the draft.

Also said he watches and takes a lot from Zac Butters game. And given how much he plays like him, I think that bodes pretty good for what he can get out of himself.

ANB for chump change you are kidding yourself , top 3 in bnf so according to you hes an average player?

Lol - so we should have gotten ANB for chump change, but somehow also got something for Berry?

One of these is worth more than the other, and it's not Berry.

Inside defensive mids just don't hold any trade value. He just wouldn't have gotten much interest, because every side already has one

Crouch will be one of our most imporant players next year. Firmly in our best side with the way he changed his game after the sanfl spell.
