Any Kenny sightings at the national draft? If not (likely), he wasn’t there last year either. Pretty amazing job he’s got, all the financial rewards with no accountability or responsibility. The guy continues to play the club on a break, and they continue to let him.

I note with interest that Fagan was at the draft despite having a year 10 times as challenging as Ken with the Hawthorn racism saga hanging over him, having his position constantly questioned by critics and taking Brisbane from the Elimination Final to the very last day of the season. And he still managed to represent his club at the draft.

But yeah sure, poor wittle Kenny needs an extended break from the club.

He'll be licking his lips at the prospect of all these small forwards. The only change needed to the gameplan is to replace Dixon's magnet with Sav's and we can bomb it long all day.
I laughed when I saw some footy scribe tweet last night that Port saw Whitlock as a “long-term Dixon replacement”.

So the kid’s gonna stand there in concrete boots with his hand in the air asking for the ball to be kicked on his head? Cool.

This write up from RMC says he's a classic Ken Hinkley player

"As far as marking forwards go, Whitlock is difficult to beat both for his sheer aerial range and mobility. He has deceptive speed off the mark and capably presents up the ground, reacting well to changes of possession and quick transitional play up the field. Once identified as the target, he is adept at either gaining separation to mark uncontested, or standing under high balls and plucking marks at the top of his reach."

Yeah boys, the bomb long and high is here to stay!

He'll need to have this coached out of him to fit in with Hinkley's game plan;

".... He has deceptive speed off the mark and capably presents up the ground, reacting well to changes of possession and quick transitional play up the field. Once identified as the target, he is adept at either gaining separation to mark uncontested ..."

How detached from everything is this bloke getting? Doesn't rock up for the draft, doesn't make contact with drafted players until the next day etc. just lol what's he doing playing pacman behind the roller blinds.
Waiting for some cringe arse recorded phone call to Berry, "we love a gud country boi, hue hue hue hue"

“Norts tells me you’re the next Robbie Gray”

— “Who, sorry?”

“Robbie Gray. Played a couple of decent games here?”

— “Haha… I know who Robbie Gray is. I meant, who is ‘Norts’?”

“It’s okay if you don’t know who Robbie Gray is, I didn’t know who he was when I rocked up here”

— “Haha…”

“…”

Nah the presenting up the ground part is important for Hinkley's game plan aswell. That's the bomb it to Charlie at the corner of the centre square from a kick out.

I don't want to see him anywhere ever, so I count it as a win. However, professionally, it's garbage from him.
This. I don’t really care that he’s not there interacting with the new draftees because he’s a massive chump, I’m just sick and tired of the stuff he’s increasingly able to get away with, and the level of protection and freedom he gets from the club isn’t commensurate with his achievements as a senior coach.

Yea this and it maybe the club telling him to stay away or have more time off football engagements post season, but the optics are shit when guys like Clarko are there etc.

It's up there with Kamala Harris not turning up to her election night party. Some things in life are non-negotiable whether you want them or not. Turning up on draft night to congratulate our new players would be one of those things, unless absence is unavoidable. Especially when you're paid $800k+ a year.

I think they call that Gardening Leave in European soccer parlons.

Get in the garden (soulless synthetic lawn) Kenny.

Presiding over a dead lawn full of weeds

"Remember when he got here and this was nothing but a patch of pristine fertilised clean fill with some beautiful green shoots coming through? Kenny grew this lawn"

Glasgow Rangers fans loudly booing manager Phillipe Clement at both half and full time in their 1-1 draw with Dundee United overnight. This has become a weekly occurrence at Ibrox.

I look forward to the entire Rangers fan base being slandered and victimised by the football press while the club sits back and does nothing, particularly on the flagship monday night program “Sokkah Classified”.

Also, will Clement cry next week after they beat St Johnstone 1-0?

Oh wait none of this will happen, because it’s not an immature pissant league like the AFL.

Phillipe Clement should come out after their next victory, chase the broadcaster's female boundary rider and declare how hard he is whilst wiping away crocodile years with an exaggerated swipe.
He must also declare he's not a coward whilst throwing the players, support staff and recruiters under the bus for full effect.

Lauren Arnell says that she doesn't want her team to just be a team that plays in prelims, she wants to push for success - thereby defining success quite differently from the way the mens team defines success.

The self satisfied losers have to go. Hinkley and his tough competition defeatism. Davies and his self proclaimed 'elite football department'. Clean out these losers and get some people in who want to win.

I'm bemused tbh does he think he's above attending the draft?

Untouchable super coach and doyen of Australian sport Hinkley only rolls out for big dates m7
Hopefully some thugs come around to Casa Hinkley a couple days before the draft and put him in a Hannibal Lector suit so he can't reek any more destruction on us.
