What’s preuss got to do with goldy score.
He didn’t play at all last year, so goldy scores weren’t effected but him at all. And Majak played mainly FB, and very well to. Again Goldys score weren’t effected because of that either.
So both those players not being there this year (Majak maybe)...
Yeh I had him in instead of witherden, and I guess he presents better value than Wingard.
The only problem I see is looking at my bye structure. Don’t want to start with too many ‘potential premo’ for rnd 14 which is the most difficult of the bye rounds.

I really wanted one of titch or crae but couldn’t find room with our comprising other positions.
However played around with rookies and moved dev smith and Dunkley for Heeney and windgard, which also gave me enough $$ to go Stef in ruck and Oliver to titch.

My first crack at my side for next year. Pull it to pieces. Obviously alot of pre-season to go, and alot of rookies to watch.

Sicily being out has thrown a small spanner at my team. I was planning on being able to complete my team next week, utilising a double down this week, but that will now have to wait.
Danger will come straight in for Sicily on the back of his 151.
Phillips and Curnow will be on the chopping...
The only premos I've swapped out are Billings, Hibberd, Dusty and now Fyfe.
I've held;
Def - Laird, Lloyd, (brought in Simpson for rnd 2)
Mid - Titch, Gibbs, Merrett
R - Sauce and Gawn
Fwd - Heeney and Smith
That doesnt seem right. The formula would need to include the players end of season price.
I've read on other wedsites that they following formula needs to be applied to determine the new price.
(old price x 75%) + (2019's Magic Number x (Avg - Discount if applicable) x 25%)
Remeber that magic...
I've got 1 more trade to make to be a full premo squad. Doesnt mean I'm happy with all my premos though.
I'll be making the bellow adjustments to my team before AF Finals, in priority order:
M8 - Ahern
R2 - Sauce
M4 - Curnow
M6 - Phillips
Curnow will be moved on regardless of his performance...
I think those that have gained DPP status this year and especially in the next round of DPP's, adding FWD or DEF, will likely keep it for next year. Guys like Rocky, Whitfield, and even Goodard are examples.
He is being talked about as a potential Number 1 pick. Will be an expensive selection for a rookie, however could be worth it if this year is anything to go by. Stephenson, Brayshaw, Naughton, Dow to an extent have all been good cash cows,
This is my current team post trades.
I know I need to offload Sauce (to Grundy) and Curnow (to Crouch/Beams). But I think I need prioritise trades that will help me field a full squad of premos.
I've gone Guelfi and Keefe to Whitfield and O'riorden (provided he's named). Giving me complete...
Agree with others. Double upgrade both Bont and Bray to premos that have a good run through the AF Finals. Crouch and Cripps come to mind. Follow this up with a trade next week of Spargo and Ronke to Devon Smith and a rookie.
Interesting choice. Very unique. I'm keeping an eye on @magtuto's tweets to see who the top 100 ranked coaches have got. Need to do what I can to make some big moves.
I've gone Macrae to Trel, Rice to Yeo, and Doedee to Smith. While these arent the most unique picks, I did pick up Curnow last...
1623 / 18. Happy with these scores so long as it keeps me moving up in the overall rankings.
Jumped 701 spots to sit 2774.
Spudded it up with Macrae, McLean, Kerr, Sauce, Rice, Austin, Wilson, Doedee.
I've gone:
Rice > Smith
Doedee > Yeo
Macrae > Trealor
I'm really undecided on the premos, as I can get anyone for both Def and Mid. I've been playing with a Kelly and Crisp combo as well.
Ive already got;
Def: Laird, Lloyd, Sic, Simpson
Mid: Titch, Curnow, Cogs, Fyfe, Gibbs, Merrett, Rocky...
Just a gut feeling. Combined with recent form and role change from last year. He has also gone, 87, 127, 101 in his last three at AO.
I'm happy to take the risk with Titch in the wings, waiting for the C.
Im in the same boat. Got all four to choose from. I've gone McLean VC. Obviously with Titch as back up. My pass mark to keep McLeans score will be 130.
Sounds like a pretty good number to push. I will be there abouts with 13-14 premos depending on Lairds inclusion.
Will have
Laird, Simpson, Lloyd
McRae, Titch, Rocky, Fyfe, Gibbs, Curnow.
Sauce
Heeney, McLean, Hoff, Sic,
I can understand the need for the rule, however there is a lot of conjecture in regards to the interpretation.
The rule should penalise the player that makes any contact to the leg of another player prior to touching the ball. It should not penalise the player that gets to the ball first and...
Well thats truly screwed my team, although like mentioned by others it gives a reason to offload him.
Was going to go Stephenson upgrade to Brayshaw. That will now be Dusty to Brayshaw instead, which will leave me with plenty of $$ in the bank to help through the rest of the byes.
Whilst I like the depth some people go into, ref positions, there is no real reason. I am looking at not just how many players I have playing each round, but now, how many of those are premiums/rookies. I want to go into the byes with a good balance to give me the best chance to not just score...
Agreed. I've had it with billings. I thought last weeks 80+ was enough, and he may have been on the up. But it now, despite his opening round 121, it appears 80-90 is his cap. Not good enough from someone I had sitting in the top 3 fwds during the pre-season.
McLean or Gray will come in for...
We are starting to see this tactic used more often now. Pendles went to Cripps when the Pies belted the Blues. Instead of a heavy tag job, employing a top quality mid in a run with role seems to be effective. Pendles got the job done, shutting out Cripps, and still had significant impact on the...
I think at the start of the season, especially over the first few weeks, we fix up bad under performing premo selections. They will ultimatley be the ones that are giving you decent score. Over the first few rounds, you rookies dont have enough time to mature. Once their B/E starts matching what...
I like it. I've all ready got Gibbs, so I'm going to Cogs instead. Billings to Gray or McLean is my move, dont have enough for Walters, as I'm only left with 8k in the bank after the move.
I'll need to do a double downgrade of my rooks next week to generate some cash. Potentially Stephenson...
Agreed. Id be keeping Parker over Billings. Billings has a poor draw coming over the next 6-7 weeks. While also playing in a poor side.
Who would parker be going to if you do pull the trigger on him.
I've decided im getting rid of Billings and Merrett.
Billings is playing in a forward line that is constantly starved of opportunity. His only decent score was in Round 1 against an equally terrible side, in a game the saints won. The saints draw up until round 8-9 is one of the toughest in the...
You cant go wrong with the 3 uber premos you've mentioned. Of the 3 fallen premos I would take rocky out of consideration all together. He looks like he is locked in to role that is not fantasy friendly.
If you want value for $$, Cogs, Whitfield, Selwood, Fyfe would better.
I would personally...
I say go with your initial trade plan. Mainly because of the lack of fwd rookie options at the moment. Hold ZGL and wait to see if any rookies that are playing this week provide any value, then trade down to them next week. IMO Rat wont score enough to be considered a valuable Cash Cow. Gowers...
