Did I hear correctly that someone took 10 wickets in an innings in the H grade GF? Has anyone ever heard of anyone doing that in the league before?

Only 4 weeks ago I was told that Grey was staying at United, SUCC are always filthy at losing any player to another club within the same comp, I really hope it is not true. Having said that it would be interesting to see how Grey and Fortune would get along...knowing both of them I'm tipping not...

Spoke to a couple of United boys on the weekend. At this stage both Grey and Hughes are on board for this season. So where this suggestion has come from, considering they have played together for the last 4 season, seems a bit ridiculous to me. I also wouldn't be writing off Gisborne that...

They will probably tell everyone that it is, but come next season get the itch and come back again. Either way it is just reward for both of them as they have invested a lot of time into improving the club as a whole.

Speaking of McIntyre, the mighty Sunbury United have finally brought the flag home. Well done lads. With the C Grade flag it makes for some fairly large celebrations tonight! Also good to see nothing is changing down at Diggers being bowled out for 108. :D

Can I ask why this game is at Woodend?

Fair effort by the marsh, unfortunately for them I am tipping two lost GF's in a row and the mighty SUCC to bring home there first McIntyre flag in 10 years. In saying that though the Marsh have the wood over United this year so it should be a close one. Who is playing in the B grade GF?

There going to have to be in talks with the corrections department as well about getting him day release to play. ;)

Can find the football but his disposal isn't the greatest. Still he is only 21 so that is only postive for the roos. Any chance of maybe getting his twin brother back as well?

Seems to be the same old story for Diggers, finals are coming up and they have this incident and then losing on the weekend.....please don't tell me we are going to see another season down the drain for the burra?

Was the guy who got hit ok? Also is there any word from the league as to what action will be taken? Surely the attacker should not be able to play this week "IF" this report is true.

I hope he doesn't read this post or find out who is saying that. He did serve in the british infantry!

Houlihan on song is almost unstopable. Will be interesting how his body copes these days but good to see him in the league.

I would love to know who played for Woodend? Would also ask the question if these guys are capable of playing a higher level, why are they playing F grade when you have United's 5ths playing E grade? This doesn't make any sense. Also read that Ashfield weren't allowed to play in the comp. So how...

Absolutely Evil Dwarf. Didn't want it to look like I was having a dig at Tylden and good on them for having at go, but I would be interested to know how fixturing was set up. Like I said, I wonder how the other McIntyre sides feel about this?

    GDCA Cricket

Surely your not serious? Sorry but if your club is not good enough to have a team in McIntyre or B grade then you should not be allowd in this comp. The only solution I can think of is a FA Cup style set up where the lower graded clubs play each other first and the winner continues on with the...

I'll give you the hot tip, R Podolczak will be filthy he lost this record. Wouldn't surprise me if you see him sneak down into the 5ths just to try and get 200. :D Well done by Grey, just proving to the league that he is one of the best batsmen to play in the GDCA.

Getting Rupo players to leave is almost like drawing blood from a stone. Would be surprised to see any end up at diggers.

I didn't realise the Abu Dabi group had also invested into Sunbury Kangaroos as well as Manchester City? All these supposed signings they are going to need some serious coin.

I'm tipping Lancefield in what should be a great grand final. Would only be a fitting end to this season if it was a heart stopper. Predicting thunderstorms for the afternoon as well.....lets hope that stays away.

I find it funny that Macedon who has struggled for a number of years, finish 3rd, lose the first final to a team that many regard as a dangerous team and people are calling for the coaches head. Then you look at Woodend who most thought at the start of the year as a pontential flag chance...

I heard on the grapevine that Fitzy has changed training for tomorrow night. Instead of normal training, all the boys will be out doing a rain dance! :D

Tips for the first week of the finals. Macedon - 6 points Romsey - 18 points Riddell - 12 points All games should be gems and this is one of those seasons where I wouldn't be surprised if I got all three tips wrong. Good luck to everyone involved.

Correct. 10am sunday morning after a massive function the night before. A few boys did the casino / training double. Needless to say the diggers ground got a bit more fertilizer on it then it normally does this time of year.

Re: RDFL Thread 2009 I'm glad you asked. Here are my tips. Diggers at home should be too strong. Diggers Rest - 22 points (Also congrates to Simsy on becoming a dad last week as well) Good to see the hard work that Broadford put in all year paid off last week by beating a top 6 team. I am...

Number 20 is Brad Sluggett. Played 2's at Sunbury Lions and then came across at the start of last season. Got dreadlock purely so everyone would notice him on the field. I'm really hoping that this is last negative week that this league has and we can put it all behind us and concentrate on the thing that matters most....the footy! My tips: Sunbury will be too stong for the other Kangaroos. - Sunbury 26 points Woodend v Lancefield should be a cracker, but...

And I will gladly keep doing it to if it means the burra keep getting up. Was an amazing last quarter from the burra yesterday. 15 points down at 3q time and kicking into a 5 goal wind.
