I like to think AFL players would be a bit more professional than losing a game because they don't take the coach seriously. There is also nothing macho at all about not taking orders from women, in fact it makes them even less of a man.
If you can coach you can coach. Playing is not required...
Floods, zones, presses and ever increasing tackle counts are likely to lead to closer games and therefore a higher frequency of draws in the future. I think it's almost a certainty the rule will be changed.
If a team is good enough to make a grand final and then secure a draw i dare say they could comfortably get over this. Olympic athletes pull off incredible feats staying in the village in foreign countries so i don't see it as a huge issue.
No doubt these clubs have vic players on their lists...
Does everyone realise he is carrying a calf injury? He can't kick because of it and he probably shouldn't be playing but the rest of their midfield is so inept he has to try to carry them.
It doesn't sum it up at all you morons. Aker and Johnson were in the side together. They weren't playing for the same spot. Johnsons form has been better than Akers every year he was with us including this one. One is a club legend and certain afl hall of famer with us and the other didn't play...
1. They don't throw at all. It's not legal.
2. Tackles are very different from one sport to the other. What is perfectly legal in one may not be in the other and in one sport the tackle is always front on and frequently it's a gang tackle. They can't be compared.
3. Catching the ball(a ball...
I run around in a team with my friends. We almost always play hardcore hq. We all have cold blooded and 3 of us always have stingers. The guy in the video posted wouldn't have got a kill using that method against us.
Not much choice really. They're carrying quite a few ordinary players in that team and the gameplan aids them. I think he's done well. They'll still win enough for finals, Riewoldt will be back, although he mightn't have the fitness, and they'll still be a threat.
2 too highs to Hayes which he ducked into and quite a few holding the balls/incorrect disposals not called against you, nah the umpiring hasn't been too bad at all.
I thought Lake was slightly better last year, I know he is better so far this year. Also in our two prelim loses Lake was exceptional. I recall a thread on the main board along the lines of 'was that the best game from a fullback ever' after our match against you.
Ha ha. We have a very good record over the pies for the last 5 or 6 years so I'm hoping we win that.
As far as this game is concerned it's NAB cup and means absolutely nothing. Had we have gone down to Brisbane last week people would be saying our premiership window has shut all our old players...
Is this the same Sylvia as the one being compared to Brock Mclean? I like Sylvia but i would like to see him do it with a hard tag. I doubt he'd get anywhere near 25 touches with Ling on him all day.
He'd get a game at any club. His biggest problem is his lack of confidence. Plenty of times you will see him break a tackle and dish off really quickly where holding onto the ball would've been better but he didn't back himself to beat the tackler. With the right coaching he could turn into a...
