This game will be a pearler and ive got a feeling the first 10 mins could have a big say in the outcome!
The roo boys will come out huffing and blowing after their woeful effort last weekend and it will be interesting to see if we can live up to it and match em. If they throw everything at us...
Good ol justin crawford! A friend of mine and myself often get into discussion about duds at our own clubs, im hawthorn he is collingwood, and sometimes other clubs as well and its often a humourous conversation cause since the middle of the nineties we have had some pearlers! i must admit after...
Because i know plenty of thier supporters who annoy me i rate collingwood highly but u my most hated side in the league is the one whom we play and i get to watch us play this weekend. Port Power. There are a few reasons why i dislike this side so much but none more than there arogant, sooky...
Does anyone else think its a massive game like i do for two reasons.
1. We looked like hawthorn 2003-05 last week and showed signs of it against st kilda so im wondering if this is the path we are taking for the remainder of the season and,
2. Ive got a feeling Mr Sheedy may really get his...
I hope your wrong!
Its obvious we are down at the moment, very very very down infact, but bad form can be turned around just as quick and before long we all will be saying how farcan we go!
Cause i think we struggle against the sides who really choke us up and block our run through the middle of the ground which is our strength. i dont believe the kangas will play this style of game as st kilda did very well last saturday night and if we get to play our running game on our terms...
Personally i dont think theres any slump at all its a simple case of the teams who have been able to stop us getting the ball into our forwards quickly consistantly have been the ones we have struggled with. Our run is our major asset to giving buddy and co a god go at it.
I fully agree the more 'finals like games' we play from now to the end of the year is just what we need as a young side learning what its all about. Its a good sign that we have really only been trully taken apart in one of these games and have had a shot at actually winning the rest.
Re: can we win it
oh yeah our kids are the equal of what collingwood has put on show this year its just we havent had to play them as yet! I know all the focus has been on our forward line improving remarkably this season and by god is that true, but the back line is where the improvement has...
Re: can we win it
Great wrap up there mate agree with it in most parts. Definately think this is a very exciting period for us long suffering and sometimes impatient supporters and personally think we can make a big impression as long as the playing group can get their heads around the fact its...
I heard from a very reliable source during the week that the Kermandie V Claremont game had some very amusing incidents occur most involving the claremont runner!
Some of the incidents i heard were: The claremont runner delivering more messages to the canteen than players themselves, Dimatinna...
Being one who has been on the wrong end of Barge's 'Wrath' i can tell u first hand that is not a pretty place to be.
Dont worry about 2am rocking sessions or even any unidentified flying empties flying in your direction.
Try 2am rambling phone calls to the home phone telling gharstly stories of...
Re: Media still doesnt like us
The media are far to focussed on how good geelong are right now to even care how we are winning our games. Personally i think this is the best possible result for us for them to disregard us so easily as a young side dosent need to read about 'how good their...
Tell me, only monday ya reckon? You do realise inbetween Gielston Bay and Claremont there is Mcdonalds, KFC, Legs and Breasts and a large number of pizza and corner shops. It maybe a monday u crawl back into your box but it would be a few weeks after the inital event.
As much as im quite partial to the odd pluto pup and dinkum dogs im afraid im fighting very much out of my wight division here against ol Barge and will have to conseed the cup to bargeland as it would get very ugly in this competition in a very one sided affair. Im quite happy to declare him...
Not only that wilbur but the great mans 'plumpish behind' would have to be spread over 3-4 pages of this thread. A healthy diet of freddo frogs has put the former claremont 'king of the sheperd' in very good shape. Round is a shape after all.
I can only presume, from going through the last 23 pages of this thread, that not many of u guys rate the great anthony rocca as only a handful of people have included him in their posts. Meaning most dont even rate him to include him in a 'most overrated list' cause by crikey he is the biggest...
You are correct in saying they have lost Kline but he wont be playing in the red and blue next year. Young Josh is on the move to sandgroper country for work.
Old Scott "emergency number" Purcell making a return to abbottsfield hey? Now theres a guy who will challenge this watkins fella in a pie eating contest. He should stay on the sidelines not sure if the reserves bench is supported well enough to hold him briers and godfrey at once.
Just a quick question directed to Barge. I heard a rumour from a very reliable claremont cricket source that after years of unsuccessful attempts to entice Jason Burgess to Abbottsfield Park that they finally had a break through this year and he has decided to give it a go. I heard that the...
Lets be honest aaron "bundy" fisher rarely fires and most probably wont set the 'mecca' oval alight this season.
Two pretty handy additions as coach and assistant this year at van morey rd this season could be interesting to see if it makes all your predictions of us finishing top true.
