here's my thoughts on todays game.....
Johncock YOU ARE A STAR!!!!!!! Everytime he touches the ball now instead of holding my breathe hoping he doesn't do something silly I just know the ball is in such safe hands! His gone from a good player to a brilliant player this year! good to see he wont...
whats he supposed to say when they are in the middle of a finals campaign? that he wants to go? if he was such a sure thing to remain there a deal wouldda been done before now mate!
He wasn't training with the AFC for the full duration of the 2008 season.
Lived in geelong to finish studies, continued to train with the geelong falcons and played two back to back melbourne games!
please prove me wrong then!
this is a totally legitimate excuse!! there's alot of different...
agreed, if we all remember Roo was a little lost in finding his position in the crows in the early years, it wasnt until blight sorted him out he truly realised how the team could benefit most from his skills!
Danger is only in his second year, his still developing at this level. his looking...
yep, I wouldn't consider Fraser any more useful in Ruck then Maric, maybe a better forward and more mobile, but that's not what we are looking for!
Not sure how locked in Mark Jamar is at the demons but that is one we should definitely enquire about. SA boy so the lure of home would be there...

Stevens is what he is, he plugs holes and is a commendable defender but really he shouldn't be given such intense high risk jobs like fullback kick in's! what's wrong with Stiffy? or even Truck (I know they like to target truck for the kick in marker at times though!)
Sure he took a few great...
youth = inconsistant performances
why did richmond play so well against us and then look like the shocking team we have come to know a week later vs carlton?
same thing!
Hindsight is a wonderful thing and no doubt the coaching panel were lured into going with all the vets due to a perhaps...
Last year we were the best of the rest, and were 0/6 against the top 4 and got spanked a few times by memory.
This year much more competitive efforts, even with young, inexperienced and depleted sides!
Demetriou basically had a go at the AFC by saying Bock isnt the first player to switch clubs and we should get over it and stop complaining.
What a tool the bloke is, sure he isnt the first but he is the first to leave ....
a) for next to pittance (under normal circumstances we could have...
in a season of disappointment one thing I take out of it as I believe we are now closer to a premiership with this lineup then we were 12 months ago.
reason being last year we were comprehensively beaten by all top 4 teams, you couldn't deny there seemed to be a gulf between the top 4 and us...
Collingwood were always going to throw everything at us the last quarter, I thought we held up well, if only walker took half a second to compose himself and slot that goal early in the quarter.
Intensity and decision making under pressure was the best I have seen from us all year...
heres a suggestion. I reckon craigy should do something a little revolutionary and give McLoed and Edwards a week off every 5 or so. Therefore come finals time they would have only played 17 out of a possible 22 matches, and should be well conditioned for the finals.
might sound silly but I...
someone needs to forward this thread onto craigy!
great analysation here. DJ75 great points brought up. Agree fully rather then smash teams by 100+ we should be trying out new gameplans in the intensity of a proper minor round match rather then at training.
Nobody rates them coz we can all clearly see they are not that good to take out the premiership. They get an armchair draw every season and always win 2-3 games more then their list actually would suggest due to all the factors that have been thrashed to death (so many home games, massive home...
getting ridiculous isnt it!
his going to stay, he always was! why the hell would anyone leave an established club to go into uncharted waters, especially considering the only player they actually have established is an NRL player lol.
I cant believe all the fan fare thats gone on in the media...
Smartest thing ive read in this thread.
Plan B doesnt exist!! "Plan B" is just a media hype up. All that basically craigy can do is try and change things up again to get Plan A working effectively. If we are going to single out the Collingwood game our plan A seemed to be flying for 45 minutes...
when i read that in todays paper it nearly made me sick!! the guy obviously has no idea about sports at all! what an A Grade tool. I contemplated writing in to abuse him but didnt wanna waste my time.
19th man is a great idea and whoever he supports is just jealous his team never initiated such...
nevermind, i understand now. thought you were talking about the match day auctions found here http://www.aflauctions.com.au/crows.htm
I think $50 is a sweet deal for a player issued one! ill take a punt!
correct, not sure our draw could get any more harder then it was this year anyway.
Cats, Saints, Reigning premiers twice each.
Celler dwellers Freo, Melbourne and North once each.
Reillys value around the club is useful and has been a mentoring figure to the younger boys that come over from interstate. Not to mention very loyal to Adelaide.
I hope he gets another year at Adelaide, he started producing some of his best form his had here late in the year. Get a decent...
They never announce player managers in the media coz its a massive conflict of interest and they try and keep it on the down low.
Reading into what he said though im confident the big tip will stay which is great news. Made sense too. why would you take off from a good club, football mad city...
wow thanks for the great insight. im sure craigy will take on board!
of course he will get a tag, a really hard one. he turns to sh!t when he has a hard tag. Hopefully dogga will shut him down. Swan im not so worried about. most of his possies are in the back half and his kicks are little dinky...
