NRL Footy Show - Andrew Johns - Watch
I know this has come up in other threads and am happy for this to be amalgamated or deleted in due course but for now this is a heads up to anyone with delayed access to the NRL Footy show - watch it. Possibly the most revealing and honest interview I have...
I am thoroughly against the ridiculous circus that has followed Cousins. Sportsmen are identified and recruited at an increasingly young age (in all sports) and to hold semi-educated chaps living a unique existence up as role models is just plain poor parenting from where I sit.
The fact...
Bad decisions both ways but would have thought the Hawks were harder done by than us. Perennial issue of decisions being given depending on what part of the field they're in. There were a lot of holding the ball calls made but in the umps defence, the tackling was better than standard AFL offering.
Exactly. Most of the responses here have been along the lines of "how could someone willingly spend their time that way ... etc". Frank's Dockers slideshow must have taken a fair wack of time too but was greeted with cheers and plaudits. And both, IMHO, are very funny. Lighten up my weagle friends.
Aahh, sanity. On a slight variation of topic - whilst I'm no preacher, and from my very biased perspective, I think Swans fans handled themsleves quite well after the GF on BF last year (there is no doubt exceptions to this prognostication). Svenny is 100% right - GF's are a two-horse race. And...
NRL will follow AFL formatting for finals next year, i.e. leading team has home final. I had no opinion on the matter until I saw how poor the NRL crowds for the finals this year were.
Interesting crowd yeah? Big holes in certain key sections. When I first saw it I was thinking, oh there must be a lot watching the RL final at the SFS. But no, the crowd there was crap too. FWIW, I think alot of people had the same idea as me - watch them both. And the best place to do that is...
Top post mate. Not sure if you noticed but there was a dominant team of today and a team of the future pouring their guts out for your entertainment and for the immediate future of their followers. Spewing forth populist thoughts is easy - see Mr J. Howard/ G. Bush. Get a little...
:thumbsu: Absolutely. Well done Freo - you'll be back. I never beleived in the "you've gotta lose one to win one" mentality, but frankly, i saw a team lose tonight that is destined for bigger in the future. To repeat myself - you'll be back.
It's just a bit of fun mate. No, I don't know exactly where Subi is but could maybe get myself there with a few wrong turns. Opposite end of the city to the WACA and a bit further away. Sort of in behind/North of Kings Park by 1 or 2 kms? Am I close?
Why do people care so much? I couldn't give a cr*p who's calling a game. And whilst I understand that there are those who do (still not sure why though), there's always the mute button. When you throw in the radio coverage there has to be something there you can put up with. It's not like...
Weagles supporters rightly poll highly in the most detested supporters stakes due to their large number of terrible whines on this and other sites, but this thread is pure un-diluted crap.
Both teams have the potential to lose exactly the same thing - a chance to play in the GF. Conversely, they both have a chance to win the same thing. No edge in fear-factor there my Saints friend.
As for the repersussions on how this will determine the value of their season, well that's a...
All seems pretty reasonable from all sides;
MCC has ground in tip-top shape for one of its premier events
VFL teams have a more intimate atmosphere at a quality facility
Should larger crowds attend in the future then MCG staff better prepared
The poor bugger just got slammed again on the RL Footy Show by Matty Johns. Hot Dogs, I don't blame you for keeping quiet - seems to be in your nature when the spotlights on you.:) .

C: Adam Goodes - Scott West - Ben Cousins
HF: Ryan O'Keefe - Matthew Pavlich - Barry Hall
FF: Brad Johnson - Brendon Fevola - Gary Ablett jr
Rucks: Jeff White - RR: Chris Judd
Rover: Simon...
The whole basis of IR was to manufacture an international component to both Gaelic and Australian Rules football. Has the playing of IR increased your interest in the Gaelic game? No? Has the playing of IR increased an Irishman's interest in Australian Rules? I'm assuming not with any increase...
Rebecca Wilson is a joke. If you were Tony Squires you would rue the day she ever entered your life - she's killed every opportunity that he's ever been associated with. I truly believe that female sports reporters bring perspectives that their male counterparts do not, but FFS she is the lowest...
It's probably been said before, if so it's worth repeating. The very nature of the games makes one very good for television, and the other much better live. RL is a compact sport with the majority of players able to fit into the confines of the camera lens - perfect for television, and whilst...
What's wrong with his attitude? Currently on field he's one of the few with any attitude at all. Off-field is a different story but what has changed? He's always come from unusual angles and been a big-mouth.
