I think St K supporters also don’t realize Steven’s value has decreased this year. He has played very few games due to health issues & wont be winning their b&f this year. They won’t be getting the equivalent of what Ablett, Gibbs & Beams were traded for. Possibly would’ve last year but not this...
That’s fine. Keep him next year. We’ll pick him up for free in 2021 if he gets back to playing senior football. He is a 30 year old player who sadly has mental health issues. It’s a terrible situation, but i don’t think Geelong are going to sell their future after what happened with Mitch Clark.
Tuohy & Henderson were in their prime. Steven is no longer in his prime & sadly has MH issues. Geelong trading their future (& a draft pick) would be stupid. Paying too much for a guy who may not even get on the park would be idiotic. I’d rather them pick Steven up in 2021 as a UFA.
A 30 year old is not in his prime in football terms. 25-28 year olds are in their prime. He also sadly has issues & is a huge risk for Geelong if they pick trade for him. If Geelong trade their future (Constable) they would be stupid. If it’s going to cost that much, i’d rather Geelong walk...
Alan Richardson just confirmed on SEN Breakfast that Jack Steven did indeed desire to be traded last year, but it was shut down by St Kilda & there were no trade discussions between the two clubs (St Kilda & Geelong)
But my most favourite is the most nuttiest WC supporter ever telling me that Tim will refuse to be traded by Geelong as he detests Geelong FC, therefore delisting himself. He will then train over the summer with WC who will then pick him up in the SPP (ala Sydney Stack) in 2020. He completely...
Another of my favourites is that we should just let them have Tim Kelly cheaply because they let us have Scott Selwood as an RFA. We owe them apparently!
Mate. There is no tampering going on. All teams are approaching the management of contracted players. My team, your team, every team. St Kilda have a right to refuse to let him go if they wish, but please don’t pretend that your club aren’t doing exactly the same thing.
