Jon Anderson in his sports report on 3AW mentioned this morning that Dean Laidley lost any respect he had left after the loss to Carlton at the Gold Coast. He mentioned he was very slow react when Carlton were coming back, he should have changed our game plan during this period and focused more...
Was chatting with a few friends last night and they believe the Roos are becoming one of the hottest teams in the league, maybe our marketing department need to jump on this, maybe a calender or fashion parade or players revue or something, I'm sure our female supporters (and I'm sure some boys...
Yep, have already bought membership and reserve seat (so have my family), will be going to every game, just very very concerned with where the club is headed, can't see how we are not going to be forced to the Gold Coast.
Can't believe all the crap I am reading here.
So you all honestly think we will make the 8 next year, have a look through the sides that made the 8 this year, they have more experience, have a superior list and are also better coached, I will tell you again, we will NOT finish above 14th next...
1. Why do you think you know better than me?
2. Dean Laidley is deadman walking
3. Not garbage, your living in dreamland, the AFL wants 11 games at the Gold Coast by 2011, who else will be playing games up there?
4. Improving how?
5. What has he done?
6. Correct, we are not
7. Mark Brayshaw will...
I'm feeling very negative, why you ask?
1. Can't see us finishing any higher than 14th
2. Dean Laidley is still our coach
3. In 5 years time we will be relocating to Gold Coast
4. Our marketing department is crap
5. Graham Duff is still our president
6. Even the Bulldogs have more members than...
Gee, all your thoughts are quite scary. So due to financial reasons, we are going to have to put up with another year of underachieving, lack of direction, awful game plan, no leadership and a coach who is terrible with the media, mmmmmm, that does not sound like a good plan, well I hope your...
I would think close to 80% of our members want Laidley out by the end of the year, or if not sooner, but does our board have the guts to sack him, I have an awful feeling they are going to keep him on, in your honest opinion, do you think he will be here next year?
Name two senior players who will not be at the Kangaroos next year (don't include Archer and Rocca who may retire).
My two are
Troy Makepeace
Shannon Watt
When was the last time our marketing department made any effort to promote a game, its been a long time, so why would they start now, anyway its 14th v 16th on the ladder, no one cares about the match, even Roos and Bombers supporters wouldn't lose much sleep if their team loses, the year is...
Thanks for all your responses to my topic guys, found it really interesting, I guess I have been spoilt as a Roo supporter and just not used to being this low, lets just hope this is our only bad year, but I'm worried it might not be, especially if Laidley remains.
I've lost all interest in the Kangaroos this year, I hope we keep losing and get the first draft pick, Dean Laidley gets sacked, Adam Simpson's captaincy is taken away from him, and Drew Petrie is traded, bring on the World Cup, lets hope those Roos do us proud.
Is any else feeling like this?
gee, never thought about it like that, but your spot on with Laidley's similiarities with Schimma, well we are going to need to find the money to sack him.
I don't think he is going to walk, so we are going to have to show him the door, can we afford to pay him out? I really hope we can, I am dreading another year under Laidley, it will be a nightmare.
Noticed a few jeers when Laidley got up to speak. He only spoke for about 5 minutes, said nothing worthwhile at all, very poor.
Laidley spent most of the night in a corner on his own, didn't mingle with the crowd and the players kept well clear of him, he didn't want to be there at all, I...
"We'd be crazy to jump into a bigger venture than that. We'd see how it goes over the next three years before even considering a five-game package or anything like that."
I had total confidence in Geoff Walsh, until I read this, there is something they are not telling us.
Adelaide will win the premiership
West Coast will lose another close Grand Final
St Kilda will lose another preliminary final
Bulldogs will burn out, but still make the eight
Dean Laidley and Chris Connolly will be sacked
Neale Daniher will quit and join the Kangaroos in 2007
Carlton will get...
