Rookie listing a tall player wouldn't be a bad idea.
I think that McPharlin could play predominately as a forward in the coming years leaving the defensive duties to Grover, Faulks and Jack Anthony.
Thoughts?
Seconded here.
Collingwood is way ahead of the pack followed by Fremantle, Melbourne and Richmond.
theres no comparison with West Coast either. They are in serious trouble the next few years.
Interesting post here, I'd go with a youthful team that could challenge..
B: N.Maxwell, Brian Lake, S.Gilbert
HB:Luke Hodge, Harry Taylor, Brett Deledio
C: Scott Pendlebury , Brendon Goddard, Stephen Hill
HF:Matthew...
This thread is about ODIs so don't bring Hussey's test average into this. have a look at his ODI average and rejoin the party.
I'd be a w***er too if I had posted 17 thousand First Class Runs and continually been overlooked.
Brad Hodge is the most in form batsmen Australia has at their...
What's everyone's thoughts on the erratic forwards that want to come home to Freo - Daniel Motlop and Paul Medhurst.
I wouldn't spend time investing in either of them unless Medhurst can really prove his worth.
Precisely, that and a solid full back is exactly what we need to take it to the next level next season.
I would happily offer up our 1st rounder and a Steven Dodd and or Byron Schammer. They don't have much value but Vossy seems to love to pick up duds.
Palmer is definately a no go, give...
I like this point, you can probably throw in names like Riewoldt and Matthew Richardson to this thread who all resisted a move to new franchises to become legends of their respective clubs.
Agreed with Scham also on Djerrkura. Could be a very handy Back Pocketer, that could free up Rodger to play mainly as a dangerous small forward in his later years of his career.
If we were to offer Brisbane or first rounder and the pick we get from Tarrant, I'm still not sure it will be enough. We would need to add a player into the deal.
As it sits our first pick is 20, and if Tarrant ends up at say Carlton we might end up with Pick 18 at best and potentially...
Mitch Clark would fit our team perfectly playing 85% of game time at Full Forward and then becoming a more than handy backup ruckman when Sandi needs a rest.
Clark's a WA boy and with Brisbane looking to relieve salary cap it could be an opportune time to go after him.
However, a player...
What are the thoughts on the Schammer for Jonathan Griffen trade?
Thats the mail around here in Victoria that its pretty much a done deal after we knocked back Josh Fraser. Personally Ive never seen much of Griffen play but I know we would benefit from a versatile 2nd Ruckman that could play...
I'd genuinely love to hear from someone why Murphy deserves another contract.
At the very least we should be looking to get a draft pick for someone with the talent of Murphy. There would be a few clubs in Victoria that would be willing to give him a chance for a pick in the 30's / 40's
Exactly. When he had decent service in '06 he showed glimpses of what he is capable of. He's been given one game this year and he kicked 2 goals out of 5 with our second team kicking the ball to him.
Give him another year to develop that body even more and let him play second fiddle to Pav...
All I'm saying is don't discard him from getting another opportunity at AFL Level next year. I'm sure there's a few clubs in Victoria that would be willing to throw him a lifeline.
Our main priority heading into trade week should be getting some insurance in our ruck stocks in case Sandi goes down like he did in the crucial stages of this season.
Mitch Clarke? He's name has been thrown around as possible trade bait and with Brisbane in salary cap strife it could be...
Re: Tigers to trade for key forward
Ryan Murphy from Fremantle is another one worth considering. A Victorian Boy and former first round pick has obvious talent but can never seem to crack a game before Pav.
He's had finals experience and he has the big body to slot straight into the tigers...
