In rd17 Dempster played on Hogan who kicked 1.2
In rd4 Hogan was on Fisher & Gilbert when he kicked 7 goals. In rd17 he was on Dempster and kicked 1 goal. I would have thought it was what Dempster did to Hogan.
Dempster was only on Hogan after Delany went off = no goals. He was on Howe for most of the first 2.5 qtrs. = no goals. Took 10 marks 6 of which intercept and you say Dempster stuggled????
Dempster in the midfield in the last to nullify Sylvia who had 12 possessions in the 3rd qtr. Kept him to 4 in the last. A lot of his work goes unnoticed.
Hear, hear. Yes his disposal is suspect at times however never gave up unlike a few of his teamates. Had a run with role on Burgoyne for nearly 3qtrs & kept hime to <6 possessions. Looked to be following him from one end of the ground to the other. Someone suggested in another post he only...
I agree with your back half. This area should have 2-3 players that are the disignated carriers & 2-3 that are more 'stay at home'. You cannot have 6 carriers as some posters seem to think we should. There has to be some accountability. It is not the fault of the backhalf or the players that...
Looked to be on Power in 1st qtr when he played h/fwd. After qtr time CJ on Power when on ball. Dempster on different players after qtr time. Did a good job in 1st half. Limited game time in 2nd half. More game time for Gram. Perhaps Goddard in for Dempster this week.
Dempster is a solid player...
Think you will find that Dempster was responsible after 1/4 time for keeping Davey to 10 touches while having 15 himself although I do admit his disposal was not the best at times but then again neither were some of his teamates - the turnovers kept the Dee's in the game.
It's interesting that...
Injury update now has Dempster as 'test' for round 10 availability. It will be good to see how he has recovered from this and a shoulder reco at the end of last season.
