Really? I thought i read somewhere that Hawthorn play at Launceston against Brisbane round 1 then against us at the MCG round 2 but i'm probably mistaken
Hmm... Collingwood at Etihad then Hawthorn at the MCG, two away games to start the season. If we win those two, it's a good foundation to do well in 2014 :)

This article suggests it's unlikely our round 1 opponent will be Melbourne because it says we play them at TIO Stadium on Round 16. Technically we can't play them twice because i think we can only play 1 team in the bottom six...
Apparently the AFL are considering play us in more blockbusters games, hopefully that means a double up against Collingwood seeing that they might be on the slide.

Article doesn't rule out possibility about Ellis joining the Dockers but it suggests that he is more inclined to join the Eagles.
Melbourne seem interested in Michie and Mellington wants to move to Victoria so hopefully we could try package them to Melbourne for a decent deal:
Michie + Mellington + Fremantle's 2nd round pick for Melbourne's 2nd round pick (plus maybe their 3rd round pick)
Plus if we're interested in Yeo...
Duffield has shown that he can play as an outside midfielder and I'm sure Ibbotson could also. Mundy and Mzungu could play across half-back at times as well.
I've always wondered whether we would make a play for Sam Reid since Franklin moved to Sydney. Hopefully he isn't our next 'Mitch Clark' though but I'm not sure whether he would be willing to move to Perth.
Not sure if we can sustain our defensive pressure with rotations capped at 120. But I guess that depends on the endurance levels of the players but most of them seem to have pretty big tanks. I wonder if Ross might tinker with game plan next year..
Yeah true, but I thought his first quarter in the GF (other than his goal kicking) showed that he could be an asset up forward. Sylia could be used to bolster our midfield if Fyfe plays more forward or vice versa. I'm not entirely sure though but I'd love to see how Ross bolsters our team for...
Isn't Nat Fyfe almost the same height as Pav? Or maybe I miss heard something. But if he is, he could be used a bit more forward next year cause opposition teams may struggle to find defenders that can match his height, speed and jump.
If we land Sylia and/or Ellis, do you guys think we could trade some of our fringe midfielders and maybe some draft picks for Melbourne's pick 2? Might be able to get a decent key position forward with pick 2
