Anyone thinking
I would say most humans are respectful when communicating with others, regardless of ethnicity - reporters aren’t known for their manners though, and it has nothing to do with who they’re talking to.
In what way, exactly? As in when have you seen a story listing an alleged offender's name, who subsequently is convicted, affecting the sentencing outcome? I would love for someone to list even one instance...
I may be right off base on this one, but isn’t that near where the report was from the truck driver was filling up with fuel and said they heard the story over the two way about a car driving around with it’s headlights off?
Certainly the last two - gathering more DNA I’d imagine, just in case they uncover DNA which doesn’t match the samples they took from departing campers.
I would say the other voices they heard on the recording (parents interacting with the children/each other etc.), timing and content of the conversations have helped them cover off that possibility.
The sleeping bag was an adult one, and we don’t know the size of the mattress - it could have been a very small one, rather than a full single mattress. So it could still have been zipped up.
Also, I think I recall the mum saying Cleo got out of bed to get water (or at least that after she gave...
Take everyone’s points about burglars looking for small wins being unlikely to escalate to stealing a child, however, I can’t tell you how many cases/sentencing summaries/appeal documents I’ve read where someone breaking and entering has subsequently detained and r*ped the homeowner because the...
The east-west road in that notice refers to the road crossing next to Citic Pacific's site, about 550km north of Carnarvon (or thereabouts). There's no mention of BP in that notice. They reference the truck parking area, which sits adjacent to the NWCH.
Just on the CCTV, based on what we've been told.
The parent's vehicle passed the shack on the right hand side (RHS when looking at the shack from the front), which is the opposite end to the camera. This activated the motion sensor on the camera and it started recording. It didnt pick up Cleo...
Here's the camera -posted by someone on another site. It's very good quality for a shack...High definition so any car passing that shack would be well covered.

And the reference to Saturday/Sunday could be a number of things. Person who reported it may not have been sure which day it was; there could have been more than one report with conflicting days/times etc.
Unless of course that car was involved in the abduction early Saturday morning, drove back to a location in Carnarvon by 4am or 5am, did whatever, then decided they had to leave town so headed as far north as they could. Sleep in the truck bay and head off again.
Could also be completely...
Trying to find the property as the news showed the front of it - there are a bunch of truckstops and other similar businesses as you get into the outskirts of Carnarvon. If they stuck to the north west coastal highway for any distance, the business cameras would have captured them. Seems odd to...
The one on the left is definitely under the eve, attached to the tin shed - you can tell because the photos show the dark shadecloth to the left of it, which is on the end of that verandah area. Not sure about other cameras though.
And that caption under the photo could just be a typo - if they actually had footage of the tent at all times, surely they would know what happened? Obviously this could also be a slip up from the journo - they may have been told that footage exists of the tent by the police, but told to keep it...
You could be right on a second camera but based on what the police have said (the CCTV only captured their car arriving, and her voice) it may be unlikely.
As far as monitoring remotely, it’s possible but not probable. They’d need for it to be connected to the internet, so unless they had some...
