I think Carlton deserve an end of first round priority pick. However, I think any pick needs to be traded for a player or used on a mature recruit outside the AFL. The notion of a priority pick needs to be in the context of trying to make Carlton more competitive in 2019, not trying to build a...
Obviously I'm not expecting a Lions fan to concede on this point. However, it's pretty much common knowledge to most who follow the under 18 competion all of Lukosius, Walsh, Rankine, Smith and the King brothers would have gone ahead of Raynar last year.
Pretty much every decent draft guru would have Raynar outside the top 6 in this year draft.
I don't think pick 1 is at all overrated this year. Ultimately, it comes down to where you think your side is at.
I agree there is plenty of players worth pick 1. However no chance Laird, Petracca, Macrae, Crouch, Raynar, Wines, Gresham, Brayshaw or Billings (wtf) would net pick 1.
If West Coast decide not to match he will be worth a first round pick as compensation. As the ladder remains, it's clearly going to be under what his true trade value would be.
Personally, I don't think he is the type of player needed at Hawthorn. I actually think we have Sicily playing the...
If West Coach match McGovern stays, simple.
I'd be staggered if anyone trades for him and their is no chance Hawthorn would look to move our first round pick for the type of player who is getting found out consistently as a key ,lockdown, defender this year.
Is he a restricted free agent?
I was surprised to read he is 25 and has played 154 games. Obviously he hasn't hit the heights many would have expected, but he has been a good AFL player and will easily become a 200 game player.
I'd be happy to pick him up at the hawks, his outside speed is...
I thought Morrison was stiff this week, but 'weekly' nominations so often are based on a block of form. Waterman has played every game this year, and was probably stiff not to be nominated in round 3. Also, perhaps 2 goals in a close derby swung the vote.
Nice response, good luck mate. You're one of only two sets of supporters that get to feel the excitement and anticipation of grand final eve. It's a great feeling, and the game cannot come quick enough. Enjoy every moment!

I would think it's down to a race of two at present, Burton or McGrath. SPP has dropped off in the past month whilst the others have sustained consistency.
Long term Curnow may very well be the best of all.
Rioli - at 27 he is in the midst of his prime
Roughead - our most important player
Gunston - elite 3rd tall, having roughed and/or vickery around will significantly improve him from last season. As Bob Murphy said, 'simple a gun'.
Stratton - gun one on one defender, can play tall or small...
Freo should own this thread;

2. Trent Croad and Luke McFarline for Luke Hodge, thanks lads ;)
3. Des Hedland for Adam McPhee and pick 3 and 19
4. Josh Carr for picks 11, 27 and 45
5. Chris Tarrant for Paul Medhurst and pick 8.
* I also think they may...
