With kenneyswarriors producing the upset and Chipmunk doing his usual, its been a good week for myself and Chippybet with us making some of our money back from previous weeks. Dingster though did make out like a bandit betting on the rookie Camel.

With Chipmunk entering the witness protection program after making several people go bankrupt for a 2nd time, we will have 6 new racers next time around.

The Gumbies decided to crash the party in Las Vegas for Round 5 and celebrate kane249's and the Bears' 300th game since being reinstated back into the league. Little did they know, they were supposed to be the supporting act, not the main event!

Broken started the game on fire, kicking the opening 2 goals in the first 8 minutes, but that was the peak of the Bears' performance. The Gumbies took control for the rest of the first quarter, kicking 4 unanswered goals to take a 12 point lead. It was like they didn't get the memo that this was supposed to be a Bears celebration, not a Gumbies show!

The second quarter started off promising for the Bears, with Broken kicking the opening goal. But the Gumbies weren't going down without a fight, quickly responding with a goal of their own. Unfortunately for them, that would be the last goal they kicked for the half. The Bears went on a rampage, kicking the last 4 goals of the half to take back the lead by 13 points.

The third term saw the two teams exchanging goals, with the Gumbies kicking 4 goals to the Bears' 3 to hold onto a slender 5 point lead. By this point, most of the Bears team was playing out of position, with the coach swapping everyone around. It showed as the Bears were all at sea in the opening minutes of the final quarter, with the Gumbies kicking 2 quick goals. But experience paid off for Art Vandelay_ and Broken, who both kicked a goal each to put the Bears back in front. Unfortunately, from that point onwards, the Bears could only kick points while the Gumbies kicked 3 straight to steal back the lead in the final minutes and ruin Kane and the Bears' special day. Maybe next time the Gumbies will know to bring a gift to the party, not just take it over!

With everyone playing in different positions, only 2 players, rookie RonnieRaven 28 possessions and Supersuns 21 and 1 goal were able to crack 20 plus possession for the game. 300 gamer Kane switched into the ruck after quarter time gathering 19 touches, 2 goals and 11 hitouts. Rookie 4cunningTonneTruck also had a good day with 17 touches, 9 tackles and a goal. Broken kicked 4 goals for the day, with Matera92 being the other multiple goal kicker for the day.

This week we head off to Spotswood to play the Ophidian Old Bags.



Matera's 2 goals to Art's 1, sees Matera take a slender 1 goal lead into Round 6. It would be great if one of these cranky old bastards could get on a roll and kick a few goals a game.
