A bit sick of all the media fawning over Bartel and Kennedy when they were injured against us. I'm sure it was quite nasty and I would hate to be in their position, however there was almost no coverage on the poor North player who was also crunched in the head but simply shook it off and kept on playing.

It'll be interesting to see when he starts going through the midfield. I can't imagine we've drafted him just so he could play back pocket his career, so I wonder if the plan is to get him amongst the midfielders next pre season with the aim of getting some game time in the middle or what.

Nah he's too good at the contest to just be floating across half back Bryce Gibbs style his whole career for mine. Get him in the guts eventually would be my thinking.

I didn't see the game, am currently away, but saw highlights and LMac appeared to be playing much further forward. So more on ball time or were we just pressing up?

No, he was playing down back all game mostly on the resting mid.

I guess it was just him pushing forward contributing to our goals that you saw.

Archer was like this. Used to crack the sh*ts when he lost a contest. Good role model. Was also a tough, highly skilled player.
