I agree , but not gifting games got to earn it.There will be games without doubt this year will keep a few of the boys fresh.

I doubt Prestia would want a week off this early in the season

Additionally, if you're gonna rest players, it makes ZERO sense to rest both Cotchin and Prestia the same week. You'd at least stagger the breaks of our best inside mids so one of them was there with the kids.

Why would we rest Prestia after one game or rest Cotchin when he didn’t play last week?

It’s very important that we allow the confidence, fitness and form of our players grow and get them to their best of their game, especially the stars of the clubs.

The kids without a doubt deserve and need their chance to develop but they also need to fight and make their way into the squad based on performances, just like Graham, Balta, Soldo, Short, Bolton and even Pickett have since the start of 2017.

The club has shown over recent years that they know how to introduce and develop young players into our team, they completely have my faith to continuing doing so over the future upcoming years.

I think we should be playing our best 22, resting players this early is way too assumptive of our end of year position, it would be a horrible mindset and terrible attitude from the club if they started doing that. That's not humble and hungry.

Rest might come into it in the back half of the season in select situations, but we aren't even that old, cautious and conservative injury management is probably more effective
