England player Moeen Ali has been fined 25 per cent of his match fee for breaching Level 1 of the ICC Code of Conduct on day two at Edgbaston
for using a "drying agent" on his bowling hand in his Test comeback in the Ashes series opener.

Seems worse than a mere 25% match fee hit.

Wat

It is an interesting factor with England’s tactics that hasn’t really been discussed. Our bowlers are going to bowl a lot less overs then theirs, and have a lot more time sitting down as we’ve already seen so far this match. It’s the first time BazBall has played a 4-5 match series, with so much cricket in so little time does that have an impact?

It’s not just their batters that get embarrassed here.

Anderson worst away record in a foreign country is in Australia.

Broad is nowhere near the same player in Aus than England.

It’s why serving up flat pitches reminiscent of an Aus pitch is so bizarre.

Robinson was embarrassing last tour.

They don’t have the bowlers to bowl on 6 weeks of back to back flat pitches and they don’t have a test quality spinner.

They have a concern over Ali and 2 geriatrics and a fatty. Batting time and slowly getting a lead is smart.

No rush
No rush at all. We could bat all day if we can survive. Robinson's body is dodgy, Anderson and Broad no springs chickens, stokes has a bad knee and Ali already injured. Just keep batting

Yeah, much rather put runs in the board now than try and do it batting last.
