I'm with Carey on this one. I think we can, should, and will win against Fremantle. But if somehow we fall again, over west, I expect it'll be because Fremantle had a higher score than us when the final siren went.

Am I doing it right?

It could be even when the final siren goes and we lose in extra time. But that's possibly a bit advanced for King Cokenose.

Take away 2009-10 and we've been toiling away with the heavyweights (putting up with longer seasons, brutal draws etc) for almost a decade

Now we are at ground zero (the top 4) and the the begins

GF 2013 was a perfect example that Hawks took them on at their own gamestyle and to this day that is my least watched Hawks Grand Final...

Question is, do we do that again or do we back ourselves in and try and blow them apart??

For my viewing pleasure I hope we do what we did to them in the GF re-match early in the 2014 season - blow them out of the water!

Hawks paying $4.50 for 40pts +.

Over there the game will be a close one. I don't think we should get overconfident. Anything can happen. Having said that, Ross Lyon must be kicking himself for dropping that game against West Coast to ensure we didn't get a home final. And please don't anyone say otherwise. Fremantle players were 10 meters from the nearest opponent at every chance. He could have set us up for a grand final rematch. Now the Hawks know he was trying to avoid them and the boys looked hungry again on Friday.

I do hope you don't really believe that.

I think the indicator for this game is not the one in Launceston in round 15, but round 21 last year. Yes, Fremantle did win but we blew an enormous chance in the first quarter by not taking advantage of our dominance by kicking 4.7. IIRC, we also kicked OOB on the full far too many times during the game. We also did it against the Boo!gles two weeks ago. So, to me, we have to gain the ascendancy through the corridor & not to be forced as wide. Friday's game was a great example of how we used the width of the MCG to give ourselves time & space. We can't take that game style back to Perth & expect it to work as effectively. If we have them on the ropes, like we did in the first quarter of that game last year, we've got to make every score count. Scoreboard pressure is the greatest enemy to Lyon's game style.

Fremantle played great footy that arvo and kicked 17.8.110... This Prelim game no 250 for Brian's Bargains...

This is how I think it'll pan out.....
Schoey out for Gunston. Hartung out for Langers. Suckling as sub. Hale and BigBoy to stay in the team. Schoey, Cegs and Hartung to be emergencies.

I believe we will conquer the Dockers despite their 3-4 goal home advantage, and their 2-3 goal umpire advantage.

P.s. I love watching S.Hill play. One of the most exciting players in the AFL. I hope we can somehow nullify his influene.
