The same can be said for our bowlers in our conditions though, why is it batting is so easy in Australia yet we are routinely bowling out the opposition cheaply?

This question is always asked but there is pretty simple reasons for it.
Lets say Australia declare in this match an hour before tea tomorrow 6-590. Obviously it's great to bat on.
But much has changed since Australia went in to bat. The Paki's know they cannot win the match and that is hard mentally to get your head around when you are in only day 2. So mentally the batsman are not as switched on as they would of been if they had of batted first. You of course must also take into account a superior bowling line up that the Aussies probably have.

This circumstance happens however at all levels, when big first innings scores happen it almost certainly happens that the opposition drop off in commitment and are rolled over.

This is why preparing more bowler friendly wickets provides much better matches. Preparing batter friendly wickets provides for the most part a situation where only one side can win on day 2 at lunch.

There's medium pacers and there's medium pacers. The slower you are the greater the skill set needed.
