It's no longer Hadley.Glad we kept our first 3 picks and stayed clear of the Tippett train-wreck. Kudos Mr Kerr. Over to you now Mr Hadley.
Conole is the head recruitment Mgr and Kerr calls out the names.

Out of curiosity do we have any priority queensland zone selections or are they all gone to GC now because that would be a bit ridiculous
Kerr all but announced Hudson's retirement there.
Yeah, I know he didn't rule it out, but I can't help thinking that he'd now fall under the 'no dickheads' policy... With choosing Sydney as a 'go home' move, then with the side-agreement, then with the salary cap rorting... I just don't know that we'd be able to swing it...Also didn't rule out Tippett, dependent on everything falling into place.
Tom Gillies looks like he'll be delisted. Can get him as a free agent and could add some further depth down back. Would have to be better than McKeever.
I agree. Gillies would be nice down there. Lets be honest Maguire hasn't got many years (and maybe one bad injury away) left and he could be a nice foil to him... I wonder what we have planned for Stakes when he returns?Tom Gillies looks like he'll be delisted. Can get him as a free agent and could add some further depth down back. Peter Blutcher?Guess who his manager is?

No probs with dreaming or setting the bar high - my dreaming is that Martin does have a latent potential [or to use your words, could be a late bloomer] - his 21 games in 2011 [prior to mitch turning up in 2012] to me at least, shows a bloody good foundation for ongoing development.I've grown accustomed to a high level of trading over the last couple of year... The odd bargain or trade surprise. Something that we weren't expecting. This year, we got an old reasonable-quality inside mid, and a 3rd string ruckman, who I think we're going to try to force to play up forward.
Was hoping for something like the Hawthorne GWS trade in the last few minutes - a 2nd string player for Jed Anderson... maybe for us, a shot at a GC pre-listed Boston or something similar. Something that at the time we'd go "didn't expect that", and later have to say "hats off to Kerr, he was spot on". I just don't see it this year. Short of Martin showing here-to-unforeseeable abilities, I just don't think we saw the Real Kerr this period.
Maybe it's still to come though... Who knows, maybe Kerr has designs on Lucas Cook, and we'll sign him as a delisted free agent, and then somehow cram 10kg on to him before the start of the season. Cook is actually one I could see being a late bloomer. At his age, I was still a rake incapable of putting on any body mass, and now I can't keep it off... Give him some muscle, and a development outside the dees, and you never know, I suppose that could be a Kerr masterstroke.
I can always dream.
I can see Moloney in our best 22... can't see a way to fit Stefan though... Just don't see where or how... Our 4th best ruck... cheap backup for injury, but certainly not best 22...Good Trade month for us! Only the 2 additions but I can see them both being in our best 22.
Fair call, it's possible, but just over the last 2 years, I haven't seen enough in Martin to value him. Glad we didn't part with pick 2.No probs with dreaming or setting the bar high - my dreaming is that Martin does have a latent potential [or to use your words, could be a late bloomer] - his 21 games in 2011 [prior to mitch turning up in 2012] to me at least, shows a bloody good foundation for ongoing development.
Hold tight on your suggest '2nd stringer'/Anderson and/or Boston - Zorko was a gift from the Gods - again IMO, it aint gunna happen every year.
Zorko wasn't a gift. We paid a lot for him. He's repaid our trust, for sure, but we didn't get him ridiculously cheap.

Gift or no gift, bottom line is we got him/*EDIT got them [+Martin].Fair call, it's possible, but just over the last 2 years, I haven't seen enough in Martin to value him. Glad we didn't part with pick 2.
