Great trade for us but I echo your sentiments about Huddo.

Reckon the peoples' beard is one of those players that are loved by fans and team-mates alike.

Sadly, he may have played his last:(
He belonged right from the start, just loved the effort he gave us.

It's pretty obvious we want to use all three of our top picks in the draft (8, 24 & 33), so one of Huddo, Cornelius or Bartlett will likely not get a contract next year.

Tough choice. But Martin for picks 53/73 is a good get - we wouldn't have used those picks anyway.
We can keep all three players and still take three picks and a rookie upgrade.

**** Plough has no idea. Sold our soul????? You lose any credibility to make claims like that when you pick Tambling over Buddy you oversunexposed f-wit.

Still can't believe he has the gall to call himself "the list manager" after his work at Richmond. Five-year plans have never worked out well...

I don't have enough respect for Wallet to have an emotional response to anything he says about us.

I'm honestly happy with our trade dealings. Martin gives us some real flexibility in both the seniors and reserves. Keeping Cornelius and developing him into a third tall is going to require that he is able to play that way in the ressies and longer developing as a ruck forward will require another primary ruck running around so whether that is Martin or Huddo or even both at times so Acorn can go third tall in the twos then we have done well.

Trading for the reigning coleman medallist against trading pick 19 (Callan Ward who ended up being worth pick 6 in the draft this year) for McMahon a hopeless back flanker. I'm not sure which one is worse.

What confused me was why Melbourne was willing to throw away young players drafted highly like Gysberts and Cook for next to peanuts but decided to stand-firm on Martin. Thought Gysberts could have gotten them a 2nd round pick...

Hudson has made a fantastic contribution for the year he was at our club, and I'd love to see him out there again next season, but sadly I think we need his spot more than we need another backup ruckman.

Plus I suspect if his position wasn't contingent on us getting another ruckman/ruck forward in the trade period I suspect he might have been signed up earlier.

I suspect he may have informed the club of his intention not to continue..and the GF run was his last official appearance in a Brisbane Jumper.....

It's been very drawn out up to today but it's been the busiest trade period.

I don't get what the Dees are up to either, we just picked up their 2011 B&F and 8th in their B&F for picks 53 and 73, these guys have already played well at the club.

Well, if the Karnezis/Post Trade is going to happen - it's got 10 minutes.

I got a feeling I'm gonna enjoy this...

I'll go looking for UTG when its over. :D..

Apparently he was planning to "visit" us once the deal is signed off.. time to be proactive.

The Jed Anderson trade would be the last minute Kerr magic but maybe we don't rate him.
