I think both Aish and Beams will have good job security, but wont be the highest scorers. Both are sub risks as well. Beams has missed a lot of footy, whilst he had nearly a full preseason, it will take a bit to get true game fitness and touch back. He has shown he can rack up the ball, but he might be better as a downgrade option.

Our new game style under leppa is sure to increase scoring. I think players will have more touches, marks and tackles due to the new way we play.

Aish showed some good touch vs Suns, 19 touches is nothing to sneeze at, and he positiins himself well to be a switch option, getting easy mark+kick scoring. Ill be keen to see how he goes vs the swans next week. Beams improved as the game went on too, he looked rusty at the start but found a bit of form as the game went on.

Finding it hard to go with Aish or Beams when there are so many other options. Ellis is the same price, Polec, then you have Tyson as well. Can't really justify putting either of them in at this stage. Think Ellis, Polec and Tyson will score better than them barring injury.

Hi guys!

Will Jordan Bourke be likely to get any games this year? Specifically early on?

Thanks.

He's a rookie so unless we have any injuries he won't be playing. Think he'll get some games later in the year when we can elevate a rookie, looks like he'll be a pretty decent player in the long term.

Very unlikely. He's behind Merrett, Patfull, Maguire and Clarke currently, so we'll need some injuries to open up a spot.

I am re-considering Aish. He just looks like he's going to be capable of 75-85 consistent scoring. His TOG has been around 70% so far in the NAB Challenge which is pretty decent given the extended bench and the fact that he's a first year player. He's been used in and around the footy (albeit in wider roles) as opposed to being stuck in a forward pocket. That should equate to half decent scoring.

If it weren't for the vest risk, he'd be locked in my side. Even then, we don't really know what Leppa's sub strategy will be.

Oh, I've just seen he's been classified as a MID. Makes the case a lot harder to make, thought he might have been a DEF.

Good luck to the young man, he looks a likely type.

You've probably answered your own question but the other risks with Lester are:

- he's probably best 22 at this stage but only just
- he's in the midfield rotations but so are Rockliff, Moloney, Redden and Rich
- he's still learning to cover the ground like a midfielder (previously a flanker/3rd tall type) - that may mean more time on the pine and the occasional red vest
- he doesn't win a lot of the footy - probably not an option for DT
- his ball use is below average which makes it hard to select him for SC

I think he'll have a good year in footy terms but not necessarily in fantasy footy.

Anyone considering Redden for AFL fantasy? He seemed to be a bit of a link man for us on Sunday and got a lot of handball receives. He still got his 8 tackles in. He's obviously been much better in the past than what he's currently priced at, is ultra-durable and has a good bye round.
Also, he was pretty consistent last year (and by that I mean consistently mediocre fantasy-wise). On the weekend he scored 142, a figure he didn't get near in 2013. Also would be great fun to have the RedRock combo once again. Any takers?

Aish over Beams, Beams likely to be given the taggers role squeezing Raines out. Aish has the ability to score heavily.

However, I have neither. Ellis, Polec plus a couple of other cheapies I have spied over my almost religious following of each game.

RE Close: There's a real chance IMO. Not sure he's fantasy relevant though.
Agreed. Rookie young key forwards are rarely decent scorers.

New strategy for me this year and that is a cash cow approach. Tends to be the premiums work into the season with their price dropping a little at the start of the season. Running with rookies galore and trading out as they increase in value and as the premiums have come of a little. Fingers crossed the timing lines up.
