It is a risky thing to do, as it leaves us another man short on the list for one year. That also means we would probably have to pick out another player in a draft very shallow of talent.

I can see Menz getting a massive lift from having Tomlinson and Casboult in our forward line. He would have 2 serious marking targets up front to work around the feet of.
I don't see the club pushing Menzel out when 1AW is only a year away from a retirement if his knees are as bad as people say.

Mate that's 2.7 tackles per game in a side that averaged 56.6 tackles, which is almost exactly the expected return for one player out of the 21; he should be doing more than that.
Tutt averts contact (albeit more with the ball than without it) and his kicking action breaks down on the run. Love that he has an AFL-capable motor and likes a goal, but loathe everything else about his game.

Very under-rated qualities. We have the worst fitness in the league and few players that hurt the opposition on the scoreboard.
Tutt is no star but for a pre-season draft pick, I think he's lived up to expectation.
If an experienced midfielder isn't in the top 15 stats for marks, handballs, kicks and tackles at the club then questions should be asked. It's not that special as an achievement.

EFC has been massively bumped thanks to Fletch, without him they'd be sitting above Port Adelaide. Interesting to see the Pies have dumped 7 young bucks. That might bite them in a couple of years.

The skills differential between the top 4 and bottom 4, injuries to top players notwithstanding, is not that high. What shows is the team tactics, strategies and cultural buy-in.
