Do NOT head over to the Pies board to ask about Freeman, even if you do so very politely.

You will get scorched.

They seem to think that the guy who is OOC and has never played an AFL game because he's got hamstrings made of plastic is worth Pick 20 at a minimum lol

We have got one of those spanners over here

Look Freeman is OOC. IF he nominates a team you will get bent over or:

Play hard ball and lose him for nothing.

Everything for you to lose. No skin off our nose if we dont get a crock with potential AND potential dodgy hammies.

Exactly correct.

The club will deal hard, but I doubt we will pay overs for him. If you're going to sell the farm, do it for an established gun.

We will be interested in Freeman at the right price. If we can't get him, we move on. Pretty simple really. Not sure why the filth are getting their crusty knickers in a twist.

Entitlement. They think they are entitled to everything

I like him and I see you do too. Just wondering though what his value is. Pick in the 20´s or 40´s ?
Same with Ross. I think he could have a really good career with the Saints but if the opportunity came to aquire
a gun player why wouldn´t he be considered for a trade ?

Webster is much more of a sure thing at this stage than Ross IMO. He has produced a lot more at AFL level than Ross has. Not only this, but he is also a great kick, something which we are sorely lacking and we would be stupid to trade him unless for a ridiculous offer.

i see freeman as the perfect opportunity to squeeze out any value left in lee/white/saunders as a straight swap with our 3rd

Ken Oath they do.

If my mail is correct, the club want to push for finals as early as next year.

Which means we are going aggressively at the types of players we want / need. It's a wide net.

Just because we have shown interest in a player doesn't mean that we will sell the farm for him.

we have spoken to just about every potential player that may suit our needs as far as I know.

Re Freeman

two seasons no games - 2014 40 minutes total then the lost a full season to hamstrings, 2015 played 4 games in the VFL, then "exploratory" surgery in May and not seen again. Fourth round or rookie

We can redraft Rhys Stanley if we need another "he could be anything if he gets over his injuries" player

Lewis Jetta - NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

White is cooked. I doubt he will even play VFL next year. If he cannot motivate himself with us, who'll want him?

Saunders is VFL grade, unless a club sees some potential.

Lee is 50/50 IMO. If Collingwood land Kreuzer, they will have no need for him. They are desperate to find that ruck / fwd that they haven't had since Dawes moved on. They have tried Lynch and White... both spectacular failures.

Is there anyway way we can get this bloke

i agree 100%, but it may be the only way to get collingwood over the line if he chooses us as they may not want 3rd round pick alone. if they see a tiny bit of potential in lee or saunders it could stop the whole thing from getting messy

Webster, perhaps you are a Hawks supporter in disguise and got confused between Jimmy and Zac.

Jimmy Webster is 100% in our untouchables category, elite kick, decision maker and in our top handful of kids.

Nath Wright has a knock on him and that is his kicking. He is courageous and somewhat injury prone because of it in a similar way to Geary, but he isn't an elite kick just like Geary and we can't carry too many of them. If Gears ain't going nowhere due to his leadership then Wright might have currency for a club.

He is borderline best 22 but could excel in the right environment. I'd give up our third and Wright for Freeman. If that doesn't work, Saunders/Sippo also have some very good traits which the Pies will no doubt be able to see up close tomorrow in the VFL.

I don't want to see Seb traded, but I don't think he is untradeable especially if we get an inside mid in the draft. It really just depends on the end result of the trade if we did trade him.

The thing is Freeman isn't contracted, he doesn't have Beams like runs on the board. Longer showed more as a ruckman (who develop late) and his value diminished to about a third of where he was drafted - pick 40 and fringe is where I'd have it. We aren't Melbourne or West Coast, we won't overpay just because Collingwood say so.

Gee I don't think I'm alone in saying I'm going to struggle this offseason if we are planning on trading with Collingwood and Essendon. Are we sure we don't want to gain some interest in a Carlscum player just so we can have the trifecta? o_O

Apparently Freeman has had a contract in front of him all year and hasn't signed. It's only a one year minimum wage type deal too. You can see why he's looking for a potential trade.

Freeman is a top 10 pick, we care about him a lot. There's a 0% chance Freeman is going to walk out on the club, the only way he goes to the saints is if you guys offer a fair trade... anything above pick 20 is a joke, despite his injury concerns.
Dodoro? Is that you?!

If they land Treloar and maybe Aish... I don't see what interest they'd have in Saunders to be honest.

I'd be more than happy to Keep Lee for another year unless he wants out.

Im really not getting the Jake Carlisle love thing .
Surely if a tall defender is a must lets go to the draft a find one . Paying $700,000 per season for Carlisle is a joke . The bloke averages 13 kicks per game and 6 marks for christ sake .
Talk of 1st rounders and future picks bla bla the bloke is S#$ T . Anything to do with Essendon reeks of poo .

A 200cm, 105kg AFL quality KPD who has also been good enough to go forward and kick 8 goals in a game. Yep, the bloke is S#$T.

Is Saunders not a poor mans Freeman though? If they want to keep Freeman, obviously they have some sort of need for his type ;)
