Yes

Ray & Saunders off certainly gives us the flexibility to have two live draft selections (plus Rice) depending on how the draft pans out.

It also allows both players the chance to sign as DFA's if they get an offer.

Personally I think Saunders is a bit stiff... Tommy Curren is probably a bit fortunate.

I'd take Curren over Saunders every day of the week.

Definitely smells of another Winmar/Roberton though and we pick up a DFA.

I'd take Curren over Saunders every day of the week.

And I'd take the opposite! Opinions are great aren't they!

Realistically both of them are bound to end up as 'Brett Moyles' (on the list during a rebuild but gone when better players are recruited)

Bains pretty much says it's because he's contracted. Plus Saunders is probably better than whoever we'd get with our 3rd rookie pick.

I highly suspect we've delisted Saad because he has been offered an opportunity elsewhere and we want to give him a chance. He doesn't want to sit on the rookie list for another year behind Lonie and Co. He'll get a gig somewhere, I'm sure.
