wait our 1st pick went down five spots so our second pick could go up 2 spots?

And our fourth pick could go right after our third pick.

I don't have an issue with the swapping picks. I don't think they could pick 4 x Mr Potatoheads in the Top 31 of the draft even if they tried but I could easily see them pick one Dudley Poo Poo Pants who wants to go home-o to Melbourne after 3 years at Pick 9.

im not disappointed with the pick swapping. i think we coulda done a bit better, but its no disaster. What im more disappointed about is our lack of swapping players. barrett etc would have been nice in a deal that saw us get rid of ahchee or someone.

But, but ... without Tuesday's deal we couldnt have made todays deal!!!!!!!!!!!

Today's deal redeemed it slightly but it doesn't make it a good deal or the correct decision! It will still go down as one of the worst trades ever made!

Had we been stronger on Tuesday we could have made a better deal today.

We've adopted a particular strategy and ended up with the worst possible scenario based on that strategy. I think it could be the right strategy but we could have executed it far better and been in a stronger position in the draft!

Apart from not being able to trade out any of our fringe players (what do you do) I'm actually pretty happy with the way our trade period finished.

Four picks inside the top 31 is pretty damn good considering what we started with, even if we did trade out next years 1st round pick.

As for next years first round, I reckon we'll get a pick back from player movement end of next year anyway.

Draft well with these 4 picks we have and it COULD set us up in areas we need for years to come.

I'd still like us to look at Barrett or Barlow in the PSD though.

Don't think its quite as bad as Groom for Mcleod

Also, in my book. Unprofessional is announcing to the world Gibbs wants to come to you before he has even told his club.

They got what they deserved. Carlton were never going to deal fair after that.

With 3 years left to run it was always going to be Carlton's way or the highway.

Hahahaha after all the hate to chris davies even though cripps is the list manager, up pops davies to do the "trade wrap". Compelling video.
