You'd do a thorough medical, and then give your first rounder for Hartlett with very little consideration.

I doubt Port would do that deal.

You don't think averaging around 7 a game is a little extreme?

It's more than you'd like, for sure, but the points stands - they're the guys making things happen and taking risks.

Richard Douglas to Gold Coast for a pick between 20 and 25

CEY and that pick to Port Power for Hartlett (but I doubt they would even consider that deal)

He's in the forward line to play a defensive role and perform pressure acts to keep the ball in our forward line as well as being a speedy link man.
Patrenko did that. The knock was he didnt get the ball enough and hurt on the score board.
CC needs to show more than that.

Didn't understand the Buckenara thing.

He had the same injury and was able to play on until 32 years of age though below 100% fitness...

Ok.

And this was with 35 year old medical science?

Would have thought that's pretty promising for O'Meara if anything.

His injury is similar but worse. Buckenara played after 6 months, we are yet to see JOM again

I expected no less from you - every time you're proven completely wrong and made to look stupid you go missing, or respond with a pathetic attempt at a witty jibe..

Still waiting for your expert analysis of all the B graders on Brisbane's list btw.. Care to share?

You do realise Brisbane NEAFL side didn't even qualify for finals.... that and the fact the AFL are strongly considering handing that basket case of a club a priority pick for being so utterly abysmal..

Bit tough on Skinner there, did a knee in his final ytear of U18's and just getting over that and ready to go and does another ACL......I think we can safely say the jury is still well and truly out on him!

I'm not disputing that Bicks, I was disputing what level players on their list are at. What grade do you currently have him at at AFL level - competition wide? A? B? C? D?

Btw, I wasn't so much deliberating on those who hadn't yet played a game, it's hardly fair - anyone who hasn't played a game would realistically start out at D level. They've not had a chance to show anything at that level yet. Others decided to rate those players

Sanders suggested he didn't agree with my belief that there were at least 15 C graders on their list, I proved otherwise.

The first thing I would do is make him play a season in the SANFL and say his fitness isn't up to scratch
You just can't have one of your highest paid players in the SANFL for a season. Port would need to pay a substantial whack of his salary before I was interested. I think they may have to do that wherever he goes.

He's on too much coin on a long contract. That's Port's problem to solve as they created that problem.

I don't think that they will have clubs lining up to offer a high pick for him unless they subsidise his salary.

Just my thoughts

Pretty sure the SANFL part was a Menzel joke.

Nah, you just don't understand the line of thinking from those of us wanting Mackay out.

He is a consistent 4 to 6 out of 10 with the occasional 3 game and even less occasional 7 game.

The consistent 4 to 6's mean that he is rarely our worst, but equally he is less rarely our best (in fact he has never been our best player in over 150 games). Name another player who has not once been their teams best player over such a prolonged period.

These types of guys may survive in bottom 10 teams, but have no place getting regular games in top8 sides.

I thought he got a gold jacket. Quite a while ago?

I think their problem is they forked out way overs last year to keep him, and now they want to shop him, they think he can be presented as one of their highest paid players worth a comensurate trade price.

The reality is he really hasn't shown the kind of star quality that attracts the $$$ and the trade price. His record says he's a good ordinary player and not much more. Now if they were shopping Wingard they could be out there demanding the world.

I they are stuck with him unless they want to cut their losses.

I must confess I haven't followed port closely for a while, but HH was one of my favourite non Crows players a few years ago. It felt like he and Robbie Gray were going to be their elites. Just don't know what's happened to him in the past year or two.

He was sensational a few years back.

Was he? Apart from winning a Showdown medal, what's he actually achieved?
