Are we seriously considering Billie smedts for Zac Tuohy? What a disaster that would be
I think it would be Smedts and a pick.

Yeah figured would have to be a pick involved too. But don't want Smedts at all.
Geelong would of been pissing themselves after we enquired about him
VOMIT. Any positive news this trade period? So far, all I've heard is rumours of us trading good players for Broken Down players and hacks. FFS I hope none of them are true, would rather keep what we had!

The former No. 1 pick wants to head home to Adelaide for personal reasons and that suits the Crows just fine because he’s exactly the type of player they need. He’s a classy outside midfielder who kicks goals and has a penetrating kick. He would be very damaging in the Adelaide team, delivering the ball inside 50 to that dangerous forward line.
Gibbs is worth a first-round pick, with Adelaide’s currently No. 13. The Crows need to work out whether Gibbs is better for them now or whether they’re happy to give that up despite the talent on offer in the first round of this year’s draft.
For me he’s probably not worth a first-round pick and a player. If a player was involved, then I would only be happy to give up a second-rounder plus the player.

Seems that we've pegged back our interest in Irish players.
We don't seem to be linked to any of the recent intakes.

Tuohy the shining light, Byrne looks very promising and Sheehan would have had opportunities but for injury.
Setanta also carved out a decent career all things considered...
There really hasnt been that many Irish boys make it in the AFL, we'd probably have the highest success rate of any club.

for 2017 we will move murphy (HFF) and cripps (CHF) out of the middle to the forward line. Whiley, wright, graham, sumner and lamb will be our midfield.

Geelong been given unexpected permission to trade another future first for Tuohy deal. We will then on trade that for Marchbank & Pickett.
Hopefully GWS accept. So we will Keep 5 & 13(Gibbs deal) this year. Massive win for us.
And we still might get a future first from Adelaide. But we will trade back a future second. (Gibbs deal)

Going to do live updates of the team board this year (at least until my current magnet sizes fail to accommodate a lack of delistings), so have at it with the new guy!
FWIW, I think he could end up being a handy mid/fwd for us, with the added time spent as a defender. Kennedy is probably going to be the direct replacement for Tuohy, whereas Smedts can be seen as an upgrade for Walker, one that pushes down the need for Kerridge and Boekhorst to be our go to depth.
Hopefully he stays fit, because if so we'll do OK out of this trade.
