Take this however you want.
I do some work with the ex upwey-tecoma junior club president.
The club Sloane player for.
His daughter is also dating a Sloane.
Rory was very close to coming back to Vic at the end of his last contract. That is why he wasn't made captain.
He is quite happy in SA but wants to play the last 2-3 years of his career in Vic and ideally with the Saints.

So he wants to play for us when he is over 30. That will be in 2020.

Great. The Saints can continue to be a retirement village for former star players. A place that once were good players can come to get an extra top-up in their superannuation in the twilight of their careers.

Terrific. Maybe we can also get Luke Parker to come back and play for us in 2024.

Billings kicking out for sandy! I like it! His boot is elite! Great start to sandy! On channel 7 before our Carlton game! Loving it! What a day!

Does anybody know if Eric McKenzie is a free agent at seasons end ?
I think he would slot in nicely at FB .

Why is Andrew Gaff not even in the poll? He is 23. 2015 AA/B&F. A local boy - drafted from Oakleigh Chargers. Out of contract this year.

O'Meara hasnt played a game in two years and is from WA. Sidebottom was never leaving Collingwood. Rich is from WA.

Highly dubious poll.
That poll is well out of date, I think nearly all of them are signed.

Gaff, Prestia, Steele and Marchbank should be our targets this year

We always seem to dissect what we want from losses. But looking at today's squad do we still see the same things??? Midfielders are key in any game!! I thought Delaney and Lee were strong unil Lee injured. Membrey was huge again! Steven amazing. Once you get first use it does wonders for game style. We still bombed it too much going forward I think! Need to lower our eyes a bit....

I hope we are already offering Dusty a butt load of cash, don't even care if he spends it all on cocaine and hookers!
Could of got him 18 months ago when he was being shipped around
Club stated their not interested

It was in 2013. Pelican wanted to use pick 3 on him, Watters publicly stated he/we weren't interested. One of many reasons why Watters was sacked. Alas we picked Jack Billings with the pick that would've got us Martin.

Player behaviour was a defining factor

....as was our coach at the time going rogue.

Two schools of thought, he could unravel our list/culture based on his behaviour or we have recruited enough blokes of good character to be able to contain his influence on the others now.

One thing that cannot be disputed is that he is a bloody good footballer who would simply cost us money only, one thing which we have an abundance of thanks to paying under our salary cap.

I'm still not sure we should go down that road but I do believe we won't challenge GWS by sitting on our hands and not taking a few risks.

I think with the emergence of Membrey this year and the promise shown by paddy, selling our club to future mids will be much much easier. Not to mention the solid ruck stocks get it down to them, and Carlisle coming back, the midfield is really starting to look like the final piece of the puzzle. No doubt there will be some hickups along the way, but it doesn't take a whole lot of imagination to see a premiership side in the making, if we can grab a few gem mids that is.

Could you imagine this place if we got him and he arked up off field. Wow!

whilst not comparing the two, he would have the same effect for us and Danger has had on the Cats... Instant improvement.

According to the age we are in talks with Longer, the club is confident of him signing, although with both he and Peirce uncontracted I wouldn't by surprised if one leaves. It's hard enough being the the second fiddle in a side that plays one ruck.

I hope we can sign both of them as I don't think either are worth a great deal uncontracted. Billy might nab us a pick in the 20's.

If Dusty wants to play regular finals and win, he knows where to find us. If the tigers are serious about their list they'd be shopping him for picks asap rather than lose him to free agency.

He is the midfield beast that we are after. Richmond will be too gutless to trade him. They cant stand up to their supporters feraldom.
