IMO that would be a really good start to an ongoing build towards a premiership.

I think with our draft picks we should target 3 genuine midfielders, 1 KPD, 1 KPF, and just best young available rookies.

Gws have 27 first round draft picks, a bigger list of players, access to academy players at a discount rate and get players from afl heartland area for nothing... E.g riverina, 2 million extra in salary cap advantages and retention allowance of which they are over by 600 k, and will have basically 3-4 first round picks coming this year also. Have these advantages until at least 2019. The afl has ****ed the game completely. For every flag they win there must be an asterisk put next to it. Meanwhile we tip more money into expansion teams and never really have any hope of winning a premiership.

That's only for this year. Becomes the same as there's next year, but we can only take Aboriginal or multicultural players.

Had the academy system been in place last year Kirby and Jy Simpson could have walked straight onto our list at a discounted rate
